Outstanding hotel

We were there for 3 nights. Great location with wonderful outdoor spaces and pool area. Located on the high end designer shopping street so a bit less hectic than other parts of Capri. Things quiet down at the end of the day when the day visitors leave. Make sure to utilize the porter service at 20 Euro per bag and arrange for a taxi through the hotel to avoid long lines at the ferry dock. However, there is a significant premium to reserve a taxi over the already very high taxi cost. Hotel reserved taxi 60 euros …on our own the second day was 25 Euro. Front desk staff not very engaging given the quality of the hotel, but they were very professional and helpful when approached. Overall a great hotel on a very overcrowded island.

Staff was great. Shout out to Giani, the bellman, and to the staff at the checking desk as they were very helpful. Location was amazing! Food was good. Washrooms could use a renovation. A bit pricey for what it is but overall, the hotel was good. If you have bigger luggages, it is worth paying the €20 per luggage per way. It’s pricey, but worth having to carry them up the hill.

I’ve been to Capri many times. Luckily, I discovered the Hotel Syrene— the best location, a block away from all the shops, restaurants, gelato cafes & transportation. The staff was terrific, and each one was nicer than the next. Plus, my room was beautiful and elegant. The bathroom and amenities are excellent. Loved every moment. I can’t wait to return next summer.

Very nice hotel

Loved it! Its an oasis right outside the best walking part of Capri Town. Pool is awesome. Rooms were great. Service was 100%. Couldn't be better.

I wasn’t sure what to expect since it was our first time in Capri, but this hotel is very cute and the outdoor dining outside is under a bunch of lemon trees so peaceful. Staff was soooo helpful helping us make dinner reservations and also beach club reservations. Yoli ate in the middle of all the shopping and so conveniently located! Would definitely stay here again.

Great experience

Our stay at Hotel Syrene in Capri was nothing short of perfect! From the moment we arrived, the front desk staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and cared for. They were warm, professional, and always ready with a smile, offering great local recommendations and making sure every detail of our stay was seamless. The hotel itself is beautiful — elegant, peaceful, and ideally located just steps from the heart of Capri. The front desk was so kind to upgrade our room for free without question, with lovely views and all the comforts you could ask for. We especially enjoyed relaxing surrounded by lemon trees and the island’s charm. But what truly made the experience special was the staff — especially at the front desk. Their kindness and attentiveness made us feel right at home, and we’re so grateful for their hospitality. We can’t wait to return and would highly recommend Hotel Syrene to anyone visiting Capri!

Fantastic location and brilliant staff

Beautiful hotel with very kind staff. The room was spacious and comfortable with beautiful sea view. The location is great with many restaurants and shops around. There is an elevator from the hotel that goes down to the ferry terminal. I just wished the restaurant had more protein options for breakfast instead of pastries. I highly recommend hotel Syrene for your stay in Sorrento.

A hidden gem in Capri. This is my second time staying at this hotel. It is a little off of the main piazza, so very quiet & not crowded. The whole feeling of this hotel is calming from the minute you walk up the stairs to the entrance. Easy access to everything the island has to offer. The pool & the outdoor seating area is lovely. The staff is wonderful & very accommodating.

Location is great! Welcoming and helpful staff. Room was very small and basic. Clean. Good breakfast. Noise from housekeeping in hallways. Recommend extending pool and restaurant hours.

We had never visited Capri and we took a leap of faith. The hotel was in an excellent location alongside two of the most high end hotels on the island and in the middle of all the shops. It was much better than I expected from pictures on-line including the charming rooms (we had two, and both had giant balconies with magical views), a lovely pool area and a lunch/bar spot under the lemon trees. The front desk attendants were incredibly helpful and the reception area and attached breakfast terrace space was lovely. There was a complimentary breakfast that provided plenty of options. The only complaint we had was that the bed needs some updating. The pillows and mattress weren’t the most comfortable and that upgrade would make the hotel perfect. It wasn’t awful, though. A much more reasonable rate than many of the neighboring hotels and very pleasantly surprised. Finally, we walked on the pedestrian paths from our location to both the Marina grande and the other side of the island to a beach club. Heading down the path wasn’t bad, though not for anyone with mobility issues. We took a cab back up the hills and would recommend that to anyone!
