Positive: Not too far from Dusseldorf main station
Negative: Very old hotel. The receptionist doesn't speak English very well (English is broken). When checking in, we were asked to pay the city tax, but when we asked for proof of payment, the receptionist didn't give it to us, because her English was very bad, she could only say "check out" (we finally assumed that it would be given at check out). In reality, when checking out, we were not automatically given the receipt, we had to ask for it again first, if we didn't remember, it definitely wouldn't be given.
The condition of the elevator, very old and small, only 3 people can enter (without suitcases), and it feels scary because it is always bumpy when it stops. The shape of the elevator door is not like in general, from the inside of the elevator, like a folding accordion door, from the outside, a wooden door with glass like a regular door in general (not an elevator door), so it feels less safe.
The room furniture is old, there is an unpleasant / damp smell from the room.
Highly not recommended in summer, because there is no AC. We stayed during winter, the room temperature was too hot, could not cool the room temperature (because there was no AC), could not open the window, because even without opening it, it was already very noisy from outside (not soundproof), let alone if the window was opened, it would be even noisier. The only solution provided by the hotel was ear buds and a table fan (didn't help).
The room door was also not soundproof, because we could hear clearly when other guests passed by, and vice versa, when we passed in the hallway, we could hear voices from inside the room.
The TV in our room was also broken, could not be used to watch at all.
Do not recommend staying at this hotel, and we will not return to stay at this hotel.
