Pool not open during stay, limited breakfast options and room carpeting needs to be changed

I was very pleased with this Super 8. The front staff was welcoming and prompt. The hotel itself was very clean and well kept. We decided to leave a day early and the management couldn't have been more gracious and didn't charge us for the last day. We were able to park our boat and truck very easily and even plug the boat electrical into the wall socket on the hotel. How nice is that! Thank you so much Super8 Windham in Fort Frances, Ontario!!

I am a repeat customer, the service is great and the rooms are clean.

The stay was fine, the price is aggressive and the breakfast was lacking protein other than a boiled egg. For the little bit extra and based on a high price there should be a better breakfast.

The front desk person was so kind and welcoming! We did not need to make any additional requests as the room and hotel had everything we needed. And it was so clean!

Hotel does not have a fitness facility like before. Description states that fitness facility is available when booking - this should be revised to not mislead people when booking

It was a decent stay for a quick overnight. The hotel itself is well kept and clean. My only issue is the fact there were toys under the pullout couch that weren’t ours, (like right there at the front) the cushions on the couch were flipped over and the other side was stained, and found a juice box straw wrapper in a spot that should have been vacuumed so you know it wasn’t. It’s when the obvious things are found, you worry about the important little things for cleanliness. We always stay here though and this was the first of these findings.

The room was on the second floor. Right above the smoking area , anytime anyone smoked the air conditioner drew the smoke inside our room . Being a non smoker it was truly a terrible experience. When I spoke to the front desk they did not offer a solution. Next time I stay in Fort Frances, will not be staying there

The women at reception was amazing, very helpful and friendly. The room was clean and the floor we were on was nice and quiet. The only downfall were the beds were super hard the the one elevator they had was unreliable.

Great place, amazing breakfast included but the pool is so chlorinated it burns your skin, multiple people ended up with rashes that burned.

Very clean. Mattress keeps sliding forward when sitting up watching tv in bed.

We were allowed to have our grandkids from the area come join us for a swim in the pool..

We had a good stay and most things were great. However, I would not let my kids go in the pool. As soon as you walk into the pool area the chlorine was so strong that it hurt your throat and it would cause you to cough. Several of the other kids quickly got red, burning skin from the chemicals. It has been like that the past few years we have visited.

The staff were lovely and the breakfast was wonderful!
