Worst bed at a holiday inn express award goes to sweetwater. Was like sleeping on a rock. A clean rock but still a rock. The rest of the hotel gets 5 stars from me. But i just cant get past the bed.

Breakfast was good. Toilet needed to be cleaned better. Visible urine on back of seat. Staff was attentive enough. To this hotel because it had an indoor pool and I was excited to let my kids swim in the winter, but the pool was not usable because the heating element was not working. Super bummer for the kids.

The whole room smells of old urine,the hallways carpet is absolutely disgusting and the breakfast cook handles the bacon with her bare hands Customers wait behind employees filling take home plates and actually grabbed biscuits to eat with their bare hands after they were set out for customers,the Manager was inept and nobody deserves to have to stay here.Mold in the shower and all amenities were closed.

We had a leaky drip in the tub that was annoying. The room had a fly and other flying insects that got in my coffee. You could hear people above and outside your room at all hours. The breakfast didn't even have waffles and it was just sub-par food. I will not return. The pool was closed. This hotel could use an upgrade. It is worn looking, old and things just don't work.

Mold/mildew on walls/ceiling in bathroom and in bedroom. Everything was damp and mildewy smelling. We both woke up feeling the effects from sleeping in these conditions. Tub wouldn't drain as we showered. Very disgusted that the IHG brand would find this acceptable. Its what i would expect for a $60/nt room (have stayed in that) and just the night before we paid the same amt at another IHG Holiday Inn Express near Knoxville that was fabulous!! Too disgusted to eat breakfast there so no reviews on the food or breakfast area.

Very pricey for conditions and amenities. Pool closed and has been maybe since covid. Sparse on breakfast compared to other Holiday inns. Have been members for 30+ years and will not stay at this location again.

Room was clean but hotel desk clerks didnt know what they was doing. There was one boy that was very helpful and i made the bed as i was sick. Wife got locked out of the room and the maids would not let her in said they was not allowed so she was stuck outside the hallway and her nightgown

I recently stayed at this hotel with my family, and unfortunately, our experience was far from what we had hoped for. We checked in at 3:30 AM, excited to spend some quality time together, but things took a turn when we discovered some serious issues in one of the rooms. Upon waking up, I received a call from my son’s family in the other room, informing me that they had found mold in their bathroom, complete with a mushroom growing out of it. I rushed over to take a photo to address the situation with the front desk. However, I was disappointed to learn that they couldn’t assist us directly and that I would need to contact the General Manager myself. This was frustrating, especially considering the health concerns involved. To make matters worse, while my family was gathering their things to move to my room, my 15-month-old grandchild found a tobacco spit bottle under the chair. As a grandparent, it was alarming to see such a hazardous item in a space meant for families. While I only had a minor issue with a dripping tub spout in my room, the overall experience left a lot to be desired. Cleanliness and safety should be top priorities in any hotel, especially when accommodating families. I hope the management takes these concerns seriously and addresses them promptly for future guests. I believe in giving feedback to help improve services, and I truly hope that this hotel can enhance their standards for cleanliness and guest safety.

The hotel was undergoing exterior painting which is a good thing, but it added another layer of grittiness to an already dated and grungy hotel. Our room was extremely humid which made the sheets feel damp and gave the room a dank smell. It even caused a wall lamp to get rusty. The furnishings were very worn. The bathroom sink faucet was water stained and there was a long black hair on the countertop—all of us have short grey hair. As soon as we woke up, we just wanted to get out of there so we skip breakfast so we cannot give a review of that. Overall it was disappointing!

Third stay at this property in the prior five months. First two stays were slightly above average and acceptable. This stay, though, will be our last at this property. When entering the room, it was extremely humid while cool. There was even a dehumidifier in the hallway just outside our door...we should have unplugged it and moved it into our room. The carpet was moist, resulting in our socks having to be thrown away due to the stains when first walking around the room...then we wore our shoes. The sheets were even slightly moist. Was told no other rooms available and no offer to adjust our rate was provided because we had pre-paid for two nights. Other issues include floor in bathroom very poor and would sink a good 1/2 inch with entering. Sink stopper broken, carpet snagged, and foot bench in front of couch was in terrible condition. Ultimately, we left after one night, forfeited our second night's payment (pre-paid). Additionally, the pool has been closed for cleaning or maintenance during all three stays. This stay, though, I had to initial a form notifying me that the pool was closed. The one positive thing with this trip along with the prior two was the breakfast. Although this isn't enough to salvage our business. This property is not a good example of most Holiday Inn Express locations.
