We had a most pleasant and relaxing break in our journey home. A most well run hotel, very cheerful and professional, very friendly and thoughtful with some nice touches like a saucer for tea bags and a sausages for our dog at breakfast. I heartily recommend this hotel and think that we may well visit again just explore the local area.

We stayed for one night and the hotel reception staff were so helpful, they really made our stay so easy. The room was lovely and the provision of a fan in the heat this weekend was much appreciated! We will definitely be back. Also, the layout and the way the property is maintained is gorgeous, such lovely plants made it feel really cared for and seeing the Peregrines nesting on the church opposite was the icing on the cake!

We had a great stay over the hottest weekend. The staff were friendly and helpful. We felt the execution of the menu let the side down quite a lot. E appreciated the very convenient location and parking on site.

room was fine, breakfast very solid, great location. Older hotel...not sure if it has AC but didn't matter at time of year we were there. Definitely a consideration if there during hot summer day

The room was clean and well stocked. Staff were very helpful.

On arrival the staff were very friendly and helpful with our luggage being no lift. We ate in the hotel on our first night and the food was delicious. The decor too is very nice.

The staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. The restaurant was very good with some really good choices for dinner. The room was very nice .

The room was spacious and clean, the staff were helpful and the facilities generally good. However, we hardly got any sleep because of noise. We could hear the people in the next room and one was snoring. A delivery lorry made the room shake at one point at around 4. Between 5 and 6am someone got up and clattered around very noisily. A bit later what were believed to be the cleaners made another noisy start and were outside our room having a loud conversation. So no sleep. Also, we had a meal, which was good, so we thought, but my wife had terrible upset stomach, diarrhea and vomiting!

I stayed with my elderly parents at the crown Hotel. We enjoyed the breakfast in the morning and the rooms were clean however unfortunately when leaving there was an attempt to charge me a payment that wasn’t due. I query this as a mistake had obviously been made and I was met with a sullen response from the receptionist who was borderline directly rude. I will never stay at this hotel again. I would not recommend it.

Lovely old hotel with lots of character, nice big room, excellent breakfast and pleasant, helpful staff

We really enjoyed our stay at the Crown which is perfectly situated on the edge of the town centre, but still remarkably quiet even on the Saturday night. The room was very nicely decorated with a very clean and well appointed ensuite shower room. We did not eat in the hotel apart from breakfast but the menu looked good. Highly recommended

Excellent breakfast. The cleaner also ran out to return our Kindle which we left behind after check out. So a big thanks to the staff.
