This is a fine hotel for what it costs. I know they're working on it but this room needs its carpet replaced. I have stayed in this room before because it's handicapped accessible and the carpet just needs to go. Other than that it's okay. They were painting in the lobby and that was good and I can tell they're working on other rooms because the other handicap room has a nice floor so I think it's just a matter of time but for this visit it could have been better.

The hotel was older but the room was clean and comfortable. My kids used the pool and their swim suits smelled terribble afterwards. Breakfast was good.

The place has taken a downward spiral from last year. Housekeeping was not the greatest, dead bugs behind the couch, toilet seat was loose and about bucked me off. It could use a good face lift

The staff was friendly and helpful with check in.

The check in was good and fast and the guy at the counter was nice, but the hotel is in need of work. The hallway is the first thing you encounter and it is not great. It smelled strongly of cooking food, the carpet needed vacuuming bad and the maintence cover next to our room was was handing off the wall. The room was not too bad, other than our air conditioner was REALLY loud and the fan in the bathroom didn’t work.

A few areas were messy/dirty but not real bad. We prefer a private bath and appreciate that.

Pretty dirty hotel

I know this was an inexpensive room, but we did not fare well here. The place seemed to be slightly under construction and the carpet needed a food vacuum and wash. It was 100 degrees in Mitchell, and even though our AC was on 62, the room was a sweltering 85 degrees all night. The bathroom faucet was broken, and the towels were small. The carpet in the room was stained and could have used a shampoo, too. I travel a lot, and this place just wasn’t a place I’d recommend.

Just there long enough to sleep

Why advertise a pool when it's clearly a health hazard? I'm an environmental biologist- this facility needs to be reported to the health department. My boys were very disappointed but there is no way they were swimming in algae and filth. It stunk like rot. The room itself had a towel shoved around the leaky air conditioner- the AC smelt like smoke when we took it off power-saving mode. The bathroom door was pretty much destroyed and needed to be lifted to latch. The door catching lock/security brace had been ripped out of the frame. Bedding was clean and the floor was vinyl, so at least no nasty carpet. Honestly, I get that is a budget hotel... but $120 will get you a much nicer stay... literally anywhere else... And DO NOT USE THE POOL. It is a health emergency waiting to happen.

It was a good nights stay

It is an old hotel, so has that old hotel smell. For its price, it was perfect for us. A place to sleep that offered a good breakfast umder 100$.

Bed was super comfy and bathroom very clean. Liked the refillable soap/shampoo/conditioner in the bathroom--better than lots of wasteful tiny bottles. However, desk chair back was broken and a bad stain on the sofa cushion. Holes in the walls. Large parking lot in the back basically not usable because doors open on the wrong side of the wing.

Everything was wonderful

Front desk clerk was friendly and the room interiors were nice enough. However, the hallways were grungy and depressing, and Fox “News” propaganda was on the TV in the lobby.

I put towels over the carpet so I wouldn’t have to walk on it.

Best night's sleep I've had in awhile. I was very skeptical when we walked in. Very run down carpets and floors. The attendant was very professional and direct. Quick check in! Small rooms. Very small beds, but like I said, we slept very well.

Check in was fast and service was very helpful and friendly. I’d stay here again just because the guy at the desk was so cheerful and friendly! The place looks a bit run down from the outside, but the room was updated and clean. The beds were comfortable.
