As always the perfect stay! We love this hotel and it never disappoints. From the staff to the views it’s just amazing.

Loved everything wishe we could have stayed longer to enjoy the spa and golf. Just beautiful!!! Staff all very nice and the food was delicious!!!

We stayed for a family birthday and the staff were so helpful setting up our rooms and really giving us an amazing experience. Love the jacuzzi in the spa, super nice big rooms and breakfast was great! Hopefully will stay again soon :)

I’ve reached out to the hotel and had one response in regards to the list of complaints we had about our stay. In summary we had a buzzing noise outside our room the entire time and when I went to the desk I was told it would go off as we were above the kitchen.. we were not above the kitchen and it didn’t go off! There were a lot of things about the stay that wasn’t very nice and to not receive a proper response was just adding insult to injury. Not a 5 star hotel in my eyes I am really sorry but you need to treat your customers (especially repeat customers) better

The breakfast was not as spectacular as I had expected. And the gluten free options were poor. The price of drinks in the bar are eye watering. And the pool area could do with a revamp. Also bizarrely there were 7 pool beds.

Great service, spa and restraints were excellent. Course is the best in the world.

The pool area was very busy with children. The hot tub looks like it could do with some maintenance. Had food in the Lighthouse Cafe and luckily, it was not representative of the food during the remainder of our stay.

We stayed last Nov & didn’t have a great stay, mainly issues with the spa, cleanliness & spa staff. However stayed a couple of weeks ago & was great. Different girls on Spa desk who were lively. Used the gym - 1st class & had the place to myself. Pool pretty good, still needs a bit more frequent tidying up & attention to detail around the edges. Breakfast amazing, staff up there have always been 1st class. Beautiful setting as always ⭐️

Beautiful historic hotel in a fantastic setting, spacious and comfortable room, helpful and attentive staff.

The bedroom and bathroom were clean and tidy. The bar was well stocked and well staffed. Breakfast was enjoyable

The location is fantastic and views unrivalled. The lobby and main dining room were very grand and luxurious. I didn’t feel the rooms were as in keeping. All the the staff in the spa and at breakfast were friendly and courteous, as were those on reception. The downstairs spa has a lovely view but the facilities could do with a refresh/deep clean. In comparison the upstairs spa for treatments was a lot nicer and cleaner. We had a few minor issues- the pull out sofa bed was made up in our room for no reason as we hadn’t requested it and there were only 2 of us staying- it wasn’t a major issue but a bit odd/detracted from the look of the room and the experience. There were also no robes in our room when we checked in- we rang and 2 were brought straight away, but one was very tatty and threadbare. Also in the bar we encountered an issue trying to charge items to our room (we had set up pre authorisation at check in but the bar staff seemed to find this an inconvenience). Breakfast had a fantastic choice.

No bottled water in rooms! Rooms very dark, fake drawers and view of a brick wall. Very good breakfast though, grand public areas ans amazing views and location.

Hotel is in a great location and has good facilities but it looking a little tired in places notably around the pool and spa area. Breakfast was good but some of the cooked items could have been better. I booked a double double room for our family night away. Checked in and was given room 111 which was an unpleasant dark and cramped accessible room, windows were covered in frosted glass so you could not see out as it overlooked a utility courtyard. Not at all what I would have expected from a luxury hotel. We did return to reception to discuss room options and were eventually moved to a more suitable room but this seemed to luck that there were any rooms suitable for 4 of us left. Would think of going back again but would be seriously concerned we could end up in a sub standard room.

Beautiful hotel staff were wonderful

We had no ocean view, we were looking out to the car park leading to the Leisure facilities. Breakfast was excellent. Room was very clean. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful.

The room we stayed in was a disabled room which was wonderful my only downside of this was the door into the room going in was workable but leaving was a task if these were to be automated they would be perfect if travelling as a load traveler. The bar on night time was great as a singer was on which he was amazing & breakfast in the morning was outstanding lots of choices to be made
