I didn't quite feel safe in the area, especially walking back to the hotel around 10 pm with my family. A man who was also living in the same hotel tried to harrass us and passed some objectionable comments at my daughter, and engage physically with my husband. In terms of cleanliness, it is very poor standard but I was not expecting a lot anyway at this price. Location wise, it's at a very convenient location in downtown.

The smoking in the rooms killed it for me. I consider this place a tear down.

well....... within 5 min. of being there....a lady was escorted out by the police and was a bloody mess. The shower head was calcified, short in the lights, power outlet burnt out (visible burn marks on the outlets) i have stayed at some dives, but never did i take a tire iron in with me for the night!! I'm ex military and stayed in hotels in Iraq during war that were tame compared to this pleace.

Rooms and building are antiquated. Moments after I got into my room I heard someone shouting obscenities in the hallway. When I was heading out to dinner, the police were at the front desk. When I returned from dinner, I asked the girl at the front desk what the police were doing there and she said that they were looking for someone. There was an overpowering fragrant smell throughout the hotel, not sure what they were trying to cover up. Traveled for seven consecutive nights and this was by far the worst place I stayed.

I have stayed in quite a few shitholes in my time, this takes the cake. Staff was good, room was dirty and sink/faucets didn’t work properly, surrounding are had quite a few homeless around. Would not recommend.

Comfortable place to stay. Room and beds were clean. Bathroom was okay. Old bathtub and sink. Nice inexpensive Japanese restaurant next to reception area.

Dump. Flea bag would be a step up. Heat worked but was overly hot, thermostat didn’t work so you couldn’t adjust. TV didn’t work, faucet was barely attached and didn’t completely shut off, chunks of flooring missing, parts of drywall peeled off, mold in bathroom, trim chewed, paint slopped on mirror, etc.

Cheap place to crash. But, walls paper thin, creaky floors, bums hanging around entrance, noisy at night, cigarette butts all over ground at main entrance, mediocre rooms, smell of smoke in hallways. Here are the positives… the hotel is close to downtown, near river front, near decent dining, pretty cheap.

This hotel is in a beautiful location, right along the Yukon River. It could be wonderful if the owners would put money into upgrades and fixing broken items in the rooms. The halls smell like pot smoke-non smoking hotels should mean all types of smoking.

Pics looked nice on the site here. No breakfast included like the pics showed. Once I pulled up I questioned the security cause seemed like druggies hanging out outside. Clerk was nice. Walking to room, first floor smelled strongly of marijuana in a “non smoking” hotel. Room was spacious, outdated, run down, tv didn’t go on. Chair at desk was a fold out chair. I’m traveling with two dogs and apparently someone complained that they barked and also that I walked down the hall with them to take them outside so I was asked to use another stairwell. For a “pet friendly” hotel it seemed like my dogs were not wanted there. I almost just left after I was asked to use a different stairwell, but I was exhausted from driving. Clean up the place, upgrade it, or keep doing what you’re doing by just making it by with the weed smokers hanging out. Would not stay there again and will not recommend to others!

This is an older hotel. The room was clean…. meaning there was no bad smells. The bedding was clean with no stains and the surfaces like the side table, dining table and luggage storage area were all clean. I was looking for a hotel that was cost-effective for a weekend stay to visit family. I was also travelling alone and if I had someone travelling with me, I may not have chosen this hotel as the finishings and aesthetic were quite dated. I also brought my white noise machine to muffle out any noises in the hallways, because this was an older hotel. The noises were nothing unusual. This is a good place for a solo traveller who is checking out Whitehorse or are stopping in for a short visit with family.

Well, i did not set my expectations that high based on the price i got, it is fair but it does not mean cleanliness will be neglected. We had a fire incident.
