I was warmly received by the staff, and had a great weekend trip with all inclusive amenities. Fair warning to those hoping for a fridge and a microwave: these are not included but the buffet and free drinks available more than make up for this. I would recommend this place for any first timers in Vallarta.

We recently stayed at Vamar Vallarta All Inclusive Marina & Beach Resort and overall had a mixed experience. Before the security situation in Puerto Vallarta occurred, the resort itself was very enjoyable. The accommodations were comfortable, the buffet was well stocked with good variety and there were plenty of activities and entertainment options available. The staff we encountered were generally friendly and working hard to keep things running smoothly. Unfortunately, once the cartel-related security situation developed in the area, the experience changed quite a bit. We were scheduled to check out, however because of the situation we had to book additional nights until we could leave. At that time, the resort charged us more per night than we originally paid. Many resort services were reduced — about half of the buffet stations were closed, most activities and entertainment stopped and the Wi-Fi was extremely unreliable. This made communication difficult at a time when many guests were trying to contact family members, airlines and consular services for information. Communication from the resort during the situation was also limited and many guests seemed unsure about what was happening or what steps they should take. That said, we do recognize that this was a difficult and unusual situation for the resort staff as well and we appreciate that they continued operating and providing food and accommodation during a stressful time. Enjoyed the pool and beach Thought the man that chevked us out was rude. All the restaurant staff was very nice. I asked for cranberry juice, was disapointed was very sweetand did not taste like cranberry juice

The room is very dated, and the resort is small. The food is just okay; prepare to wait in line. The pools are cold but they are clean. The location is their strength, convenient to the marina entrance. Staff are friendly, english speaking limited to senior staff. If they renovated, they could be that diamond in the ruff.

Great location that has both Marina and beach views. The resort spans two areas and has four pools. The staff are very friendly and courteous. The room was cleaned daily and food was good with the hotel having different food night themes. There are also two specialty restaurants. We met serveral fellow travelers that have been coming to this resort for years. I would highly recommend it.

We had a good stay and the resort as a whole was very nice. We liked that it was on both sides of the street so you can enjoy the amenities and restaurants on either side. That made it feel larger and more spaced out people wise. The staff was friendly and helpful to the guests needs and sent a couple of emails asking if there was anything we needed and how things were going during our stay. What needs desperate improvement is the beds, the bedding and the pillows. They were the absolute worst I've ever slept on in my life. The mattresses were as old as my grandmother and that's no lie. They actually had sit depressions on either side and were hard as rock and you could feel the springs. Worst ever!!! The pillows were so old and broken. It was like bits and pieces of foam digging into your head. I had to switch it out for one of the accent cushions to not get a headache every night. We asked other guests how their beds were and it was the same as ours. So the resort need to do a complete overall of all the beds. The cleaning staff was sub par. We left a tip every day but she only made the beds and wiped the sink. By the end of our stay the toilet smelled and the floor was very dirty. The food was adequate, some dishes were delicious and others were not. As a whole If it weren't for the worst beds I've ever slept in, I would highly recommend this resort. We personally would stay there again and hope that the bed situation is fixed.

We had an amazing stay!! I went with my mom and we both enjoyed it so much, we'll be back next year! Our room was clean and comfortable. We had a balcony that looked over the pool. The beds and bedding were fantastic. We spent most of our time at the pools in the sun with wonderful cocktails. The staff from the front desk to the bartenders were extremely helpful and pleasant.
