Polite, easy check in, clean room

When we first arrived to the hotel, the staff was very welcoming and checked us in without issues. When we first go into the room there was a strong smell of mold and I believe that it was coming from the air conditioning unit because it was leaking water. Also when we arrived to the room there was a big roach in the corner by the air conditioning unit and a dead bug on the wall. The staff was understanding when we addressed the issue with them but that inital night made us very uncomfortable for the rest of our stay. We also asked for a different room and there weren't any other rooms availble so we decided to stay in the room given that we already paid to be there. We did not have a good experience and we will not be coming back to this hotel in the future.

This place had it where it counts. Nothing really fancy about the place but the sheets and bedding where pristine condition.

We were traveling to attend a funeral and plans needed to be put together quickly. We were going to drive over 11 hours due to expensive flights to Jacksonville. At last minute we found flights into Raleigh and drove only 2 hours. Our flight back was early morning so we wanted to cancel our 2nd night stay and book at a Sleep Inn in Raleigh. But, you have a no cancellation policy. Terribly inconvenient for us (4 people, 2 rooms) as we had to leave at 3am to drive back to Raleigh. Oh, and when I booked the room initially with Expedia, I received an email that the rate increased 30%!!! Thanks for making an incredibly difficult time for us worse. I am really quite mad about this.

Pillows were smaller than accustomed to, but there were more (5 for a king bed) so it was satisfactory.

Front desk was super nice . But the shower in my room

I am in the process of moving into town and booked a night here with my son. The room smelled like a musty basement. The bathroom door did not close. The toilet was clogged. While walking out of the front door several drunk or under some kind influence were running into the building and almost knocked me over but they were oblivious to even realize. We ended up checking out an hour after checking in. So there is some money down the drain. I don’t have high expectations but this place was awful.

Very beautiful hotel. Comfortable beds staff very polite. Only problem is that they didn’t make the chocolate chip cookies
