The Strata is conveniently located close to the 401 but a few minutes drive to downtown/attractions. It's located in a strip mall on a busy street (Princess) but the street noise wasn't an issue for us or disrupted sleep. It has a lovely, modern bright lobby and the check-in was quick and easy. Room size was very generous, it was very clean, beds were comfortable and looked like the facilities had been recently modernized. We can't speak about breakfast, as we didn't eat there and had to get on the road. Breakfast is not included in room price, but I can't complain as we felt the room price was very reasonable for the quality of the room, building. Staff was friendly and no trouble getting parking in the lot in front of the building.

Clean and friendly

Website says pets get a gift bag. Nope. The property is very clean, and the rooms are well appointed with a microwave, Nespresso (extra pods at the front desk - just ask), mini-fridge. Pub next door, and Pizza Hit take away outside. So the area around isn’t that great, but we stay here all the time.

Excellent hitel

I was surprized how good the property was when I saw that it was located over a tacky looking shopping strip. Loft was very nice but no bathroom available in upper area and steps are steep.

My dog and I stayed and it was great, clean nice staff, convenient location

Compare with the price, the hotel is not clean enough.

Parking garage a bit weird . I’m trying out many different hotels in the area. This one is good value with a great waterfront view. Super clean but doesn’t have the same feel as some of its competitors nearby. Especially when it comes to hallways, elevator and parking garage. Room was nicely renovated though and breakfast was in a bento box, nice touch.

the hotel and rooms are beautiful and new ,but for such a nice hotel , the TV reception is really bad like analog from 1980s ,no channel guide , difficult to maneuver , there is a Chromecast but zero instructions on how to connect . there was no guest guide in the room to tell you about the services , not even a sign to tell where the ice was .. yes the fixtures and furnishings were great ,but those guest amenity things were lacking .

This was our second stay at the Strata and we found roomy and comfortable. Our one concern is the bathtub, it gets pretty slippery after a shower. Either a non-slip coating could be applied, or a rubber shower mat should be supplied.

Hotel and staff were good, breakfast was fine. Parked undercover and it rained discovered car was covered with rust particles from the parking roof. This was reported to the staff and the hotel who said it would be reported to Management.

I liked the floors in the rooms & no carpet. Much cleaner. The TV had decent channels that I didn’t have to subscribe to in order to watch something. Great location for us to get to places easily. Food, laundromat close by, a movie theater & shopping. Very friendly, helpful staff! 🤗
