Lovely hotel and close to the Beach. A bit too far away from the main part of the city but had a lovely stay. Beds super comfortable and service impeccable.

Bed was huge and very comfortable. The whole place is very clean and well presented. Staff were personable and polite. The pool / terrace area was lovely. My only gripe was the air conditioning- it did work and we were never too hot but it wasn’t very strong.

My stay was excellent, ran into some difficulties with my flight prior to arriving and the hotel staff were very communicative and understanding. Short and quiet 10 minute walk to the metro and 3 minute walk to the beach.

The staff was lovely and very generous. The room was great and the views were spectacular. The only complaint we had was that we were woken up every night but neighbours coming in at 2-3am. The walls are a bit thin and the adjoining door would make a Ioud noise every time they opened their front door.

Great location close to the beach. Not a ton of food options but decent for a couple nights. Wouldn’t want to stay a week.

Fantastic long weekend stay for a bit of last minute sunshine! Lovely friendly staff, very clean hotel, fab pool and bar area, great view of the sea. Highly recommend!

I was very happy with the service from GISELA, from desk attendant. She was so helpful and friendly, She helped us with a lot of things directions to everything that we need and try to help us in every need that we have staff service on the pool was amazing. Super clean very convenient. I recommend it 100%💖💖🌈

I had a marvelous experience at Occidental Mar, staff super helpful and spoke English (very appreciative).

Did not like smoking round pool

The true definition of capitalist. We sent notice 3days before our arrival that my wife had a broken foot and claustrophobia so the premium suite on "the lowest floor possible would be appreciated". They didn't answer our emails because they were "too Busy" then moved us to a broom closet in the back of the hotel that was listed at $116 less per night and gave us two drink coupons as compensation. The flooring was loose. the hallway was DARK, the hot and cold water weren't working, And every time we crossed the lobby the hosts looked at bus like we just crawled in from the gutter or literally turned away as if they had better things to do, They need a stern reminder of who pays thier bills!!!

Our stay started out great until several rowdy, severely over intoxicated "drunk" guests showed up on our floor, loud music and more, then proceeded to the pool area where we were. Drinking heavily, swearing and young men/boy groups hitting on other female guests that tried to evade them. Not a good scene. Hotel moved us to a quieter floor. The drunks should have been kicked off the property. Won't be coming back.

Staff were endlessly helpful and the hotel was very clean. Beach view and access (across a couple of roads and past a sport complex) with some decent eateries on doorstep. Bed was very comfortable, with a pillow menu to fit tastes. Facilities were good for our purposes, in terms of gym, bars, terrace, and a small rooftop pool (doesn't fit many people, so difficult to get in when hotel has guests looking to use it). Water pressure was very low, shower was underwhelming. Room decor showing age (scuffed walls, minor damage to tiles on wall/floor) though nothing serious.

Fridge in room was filthy, rooms were fine though could do with a bit of TLC. Great location.

Lovely clean hotel

5 min walk to beach and excellent terrace lounge area on 2nd floor. Breakfast was nice with fresh omelette making station. Food on terrace was ok.

Wonderful hotel, attentive staff and very clean. Can’t fault it
