Whole property literally filthy, from the entrance, to reception, to lift, corridors and room. Expedia description v misleading. Frosty reception, rapid fire French. No feel for the many foreign guests. Condition of building dangerous, with faulty electrical installations. Not worth this (or any) price. Do not stay here. Also, hottest part of France, but no aircon. A chain hotel such as Etap or Novotel much better value.

When we arrived at 3pm per our check in instructions, we were told the room would not be available until 5-530pm. Floors were dirty and the room is in need of updates. People at the front desk were friendly but did not speak any English. Although stated on hotels.com that English was spoken.

Stayed here on long drive UK to Spain. Very average. Rooms need modernising and fixing up. Rooms not worth more than €50 a night. Very overpriced in height of summer.

Generally speaking the rooms were clean but carpeting on the floor should be removed and replaced by new one as it was old, faded and even stained

The hotel staff were very friendly. The room was nice, and the bed comfortable. However, there were a few things that were not quite right that could have easily been fixed, for example, the shower holder was missing the part that screws the shower into a certain position, which meant when the shower pressure got to a certain point, the shower head would move up all of a sudden. There was also a light that was not working, which probably just needed a replacement bulb.

Very friendly staff on reception. Hotel was placed on the Lake in St Paul les Dax. No restaurant opn when we stayed there but a walk round the lake solved the problem of where to eat. Breakfast was excellent for a small French hotel and the stay was good value for money. It seems to be owned by a chain now and it may be that they will spend some money tidying the outside up. It looks a little tired but don't let this put you off staying there.

Lovely location in nice neighbourhood, nearby lake picturesque. Kitchenette had some basic equipment missing eg knives, but otherwise very handy.

The hotel is conveniently located and the staff are friendly and helpful. The nearby surrounding is nice with lake and greenery. There is supermarket within 30 minutes' walk. Can manage to buy grocery for cooking even without a car. The people in the town are very nice too and offered to give our family a lift when seeing us waiting for bus. Great stay in this place!

Nice hotel, nice location next to lake, staff very helpful. Quiet area but a short walk to restaurants. The outside could do with a bit of a tidy up but on the whole very nice, I would stay again

The hotel is located across the street from a beautiful lake with walking and biking paths. Our room was huge and the seperate master bedroom was certainly appreciated. The windows are floor to ceiling and all the rooms have a spacious balcony. Although we did not use the kitchen in our room it appeared to be well equiped and a nice option for those that want to eat in.

We only had one complaint, on accessing the room, we found all kitchen cupboards locked and could not access utensils. We approached the receptionist who was reluctant to open them. We did arrive quite late and close to the closing time of the front desk. However, we did persuade the receptionist to open the cupboards, which only took a few minutes to do. Apart from this small problem, the rest of our stay was superb and we will use the appartments again.

We only needed a hotel for a nightstop on our way to Spain. The man on the front desk was very helpful and spoke English. The room was an apartment - a bedroom with twin beds and a sofa bed in the lounge. The was a small kitchenette with a fridge (brilliant for stashing the contents of our cool bag), and crockery and utensils. There was no kettle (like lots of Continental hotels), so we thought we'd boil some water in a pan to make tea, but the only cups they had were small chipped coffee cups, so we went without. The hotel and surrounding area was quiet so we had a good nights sleep. In the morning the bathroom drains were very smelly. There was only one small sachet of liquid soap in the batroom so we had to ration it betwen the 4 of us. Overall, the hotel was fine for a quick nightstop, but I wouldn't want to stay for longer without bringing a kettle and some bleach for the smelly drains!
