A well appointed modern hotel, ideally placed for visiting Newcastle.
However, it is a little understaffed. There's no concierge available to help with luggage so if you are elderly or disabled I'm not sure how you are supposed to manage. Also, several waiting staff had phoned in sick (bank holiday coincidence?🤔) so breakfast was clearly challenging for the excellent staff who were there.
Security is also questionable, with no lift security anyone can enter the hotel and get to any floor without a room key.
The pool is pleasant but changing area could do with an upgrade. However, the hotel was very reasonable and very popular with families with children. We enjoyed our stay on the whole.
