Was absolutely horrible as somebody went for a crap in the swimming pool after arriving 10 minutes in the pool had to come out after travelling 200 miles for my wife’s anniversary. Then after this didn’t get a wink of sleep as there were lots of noisy hooligans shouting and screaming up and down the hallway till 6 o’clock in the morning I complain to the desk they told me to contact Expedia Expedia wouldn’t do anything to help wouldn’t interest given any kind of a refund back. Do not attempt to book with Expedia or this hotel again, I recommend anybody do not cause they will not help you.

Pleasant stay. Quiet location. Didn’t use the spa. Evening meal was nice, limited menu unless you was food from the grill which was a bit pricey for me. Had breakfast one day only had cereal charged me the standard eat all you want buffet price. Didn’t have it the next day. Room was spacious comfortable and clean with good amenities. Couple of faults which I reported. Room is a bit dated so looked a bit shabby.

Was very disappointed that I had to pay extra to use gym making it an expensive stay. Fridge didn’t work, toilet flush was faulty, bathroom looking tired and needs a refresh. Hotel ok but not worth £160/ night

We had a lovely stay for 2 nights over Easter weekend. Positives- we had a one year old, cot was provided on our room ready. Plenty of space. Each fridge in the room has two bottles ready to top up water or milk, both available from dispensers on each floor which I loved. Staff were all lovely and helpful. There’s a restaurant and a pub so we ate in each for dinners. Pool is lovely and warm. Children hours are only up until 11am and between 3-7pm. Didn’t bother us but a little annoying when you have to leave the pool. Had a lovely massage at the spa but expensive. My mother in law was struggling with mobility and they lent her a wheelchair. Negatives - lifts broke that weekend before we’d arrive. I’d requested 2 rooms close to the lift, one due to mobility and the other due to having a baby. They had allocated us growing floor but not my in laws so we had to swap with them meaning carrying a buggy up and down the stairs. Appreciate it can happen but extremely frustrating and made the weekend difficult. Also as of February there’s now a charge of £15pp or £30 per family to use spa for 48 hours. The hotel agreed to waive this as we’d booked in January but we should have been made aware and we’re not until the day of the trip by email. Also received way too many emails from the hotel in the run up. Breakfast was ok but felt could have had more choice. No salads or cheeses, no hash browns, mushrooms tasteless. Overall would definitely go back as was a lovely venue

Had a great stay at the Solent hotel. Spa and Swimming facilities are really great and modern. Staff and general services are all good and friendly. The rooms are a little outdated and you can hear your neighbours through the walls. The big problem for me was the terrible beds! unfortunately, ours was awfully soft with a big dip in the middle...I expect better from a 4 star hotel. Overall good stay - would probably return to use the Spa facilities but not stay the night again.

A great holiday for a spa break, fantastic facial, good food at the restaurant and nice rooms. A little issue at the start of our trip was quickly sorted out by Josh who provided exemplary customer service throughout our stay. Would highly recommend

Nice property stayed a few times, keycard didn’t work and then when in the room and the key holder for lights fell off! No restaurant open as a Sunday only the pub style bar. But comfy and clean.

It is a very pleasant place and is a haven for the weary traveller. I had a beaitiful massage and the sauna is lovely. You can change in your room and a robe is supplied for your short walk to the spa. The staff are ALL fantastic and congenial who are pleasantly helpful.

A very nice hotel with good facilities, which unfortunately i was not able to use due to the short stay. Only niggle I had, there was no milk in the room and only a couple of small sugar sachets, the milk, apparently, was in a dispenser at the end of a corridor but there was nothing in the room to explain that.

Hotel was full to capacity and couldn’t even get a table for dinner in the restaurant! The spa was full to capacity when we went to use facilities and was operating on a 1 in 1 out basis. Children in the sauna, which should not be allowed. 1 bathrobe our room so I was waiting in my towel!
