Everything was excellent. From the location, parking, and beautiful well kept grounds, to the hospitable and attentive staff. We were here for a short one night stay, but will definitely return for a longer stay.

Building and grounds were beautiful. Fire alarm went off accidentally at 5:30am and again at 10:00am. No explanation or apology. Seemed understaffed for a sold out weekend. Pool and spa could have been cleaner. Even so we will return.

We were on the 3rd floor with no elevator, the code to our room didn’t work and there was no one to check us in when we arrived. A maid tried to help us but there was a language barrier. The room was ok but way over priced and the pictures completely misrepresent the property. Not at all what you think you are getting when you pay this much.

Our checkin and stay was fine. The property is clean and breakfast was good. However, after checkout I noticed charges on my card that were not accurate. After several days of trying to reach someone at the property, I brought up my concerns around the charges. The staff were adamant we consumed wine that we didn’t. They charged for a bottle opener that we didn’t take, refused to refund the difference of what we actually consumed, charged my friend’s card for my room when I specifically requested my room be charged on my card. Honestly, up until the dispute of charges I would have stayed again, but now, never again. Stay at the Churchill Manor next door. Much nicer property and much friendlier staff.

There was quite an Internet research process when selecting accommodations for our March 2025 California wine country trip to Napa Valley and Calistoga, and we came across The White House, a perfect Gem. It was a great find. Historic. Quaint. Quiet. Luxurious amenities Beautiful. Comfortable. Accommodating. Affordable. Convenient. Cozy. And, best of all happy, friendly, personably customer service and relaxing evening wine & cheese hour and delicious morning coffee & breakfast. I was in heaven and certainly found it hard to depart. I can’t wait to tell my friends and family about this treasure and look forward to returning one day again myself. Thanks to the entire White House staff for a delightful stay and memorable experience. The V.I.P. service & treatment was a charm.

This was our first visit to Napa valley with our visiting guests from Scotland and South Carolina. What a fabulous place to stay easy access to downtown Napa and the most fabulous environment. The rooms were amazing and staff were friendly and welcoming so helpful and pleasant. I will definitely return especially with family members visiting from Scotland.

This hotel was beautifully remodeled, unfortunately it smelled of the dollar store cleanser which overpowered all of the great Molton brown toiletries. There was also no one on site after 7pm so when I was locked out of my room because the door code wouldn’t work I wasn’t able to get a hold of anyone for 2.5 hours. Which meant I had to climb through the window as my keys to my car were locked in the room. Of course that was unsettling as it meant my room wasn’t secure.

We had problems checking in, because we didn't receive instructions we were supposed to receive. The hotel doesn't have a front-desk and guests need to receive a passcode to enter the lobby and the room. We called the phone number posted by the hotel for help; the guy downright refused to help us and was rude as if it were all our mistakes for not receiving the email. This experience is eye-opening, as a Platinum member both on Expedia and Marriott Bonvoy. In other aspects, the room is nicely featured and clean. The management needs to use more care about check-in process after hours and their staff.

The stay itself was fine. The staff were friendly and the room was nice enough. The main problem was that the charge that showed up on my credit card did not match the hotels.com receipt. They promised to send a final receipt via email but never did. I left 4 voicemails (because no one ever answers the phone) and sent one email asking for an explanation and not one was returned. I had no choice but to put a hold on the charge through the credit card company and still waiting to hear. Extremely disappointing to say the least.

My husband and I stayed at White House Inn for 4 days, as a treat for me during some difficult hospital appointments. The photos looked lovely but sadly our stay was spoiled by non-existent housekeeping, dreadful breakfasts and very poor customer service. On arrival, we were asked if we would like housekeeping for our stay, but this never materialized. I complained twice and, on our last day, we did get a few extra towels, some shower gel and our room was tidied. They state breakfast is until 9.30 am, but the 1st morning there was nothing left at 9:00 am, the dining room was a shambles with dirty dishes everywhere and no clean tables. When I asked the staff if they could replenish the food, they were rude and unhelpful. It was the same the 2nd morning. There was no coffee and the espresso machine was not working, the food had nearly all gone and the tables were left with dirty dishes everywhere. Only on our last day was any breakfast available. Finally, on our last night, the piped music in the lobby was left on all night and I could not find anyone to help turn it off. I spoke with a member of staff about all this, and she advised me to email the hotel. I did this but nobody has replied to my email. I have also telephoned the hotel twice but have not been able to get through. I feel so disappointed, that I had to write this. I would definitely not stay there again; their customer service is awful and I do not recommend this hotel if you are looking for a relaxing break.

Boutique bed and breakfast in a historic building. Our only issue was a faulty bathroom door that did not close in room 14. Overall a lovely experience.
