Staff very friendly and helpful Roos are very dated, however location is perfect walking distance to everything, breakfast buffet is very good, definitely will recommend

The hotel was built in 1902 and was pristinely maintained-it was like walking into history. The lovely garden and fountain, pool and outdoor patio were beautiful. It was a pleasure to stay in such a lovely hotel. The staff went above and beyond and were very kind. The breakfast buffet was excellent. I will be back-it was wonderful!!

A fantastic quiet place to chill

Amazing deal on a great little place with loads of character. Can be a bit noisy at night and well into the night as its quite central and its a holiday city but what do you expect? We really enjoyed the place.

Beautiful hotel worth to pay more for the suite 😊

Adverts are deceptive and mainly feature the deluxe rooms giving one the false impression that all the rooms are of the same standard. Our room was a basic 1-2 star quality. to get to room from elevator one had to climb four stairs and then cross to the other building and down more stairs. The lock on the door could have been broken with a screwdriver - very unsafe. The TV was the size of a computer monitor and the max volume was barely adequate. On positive side the pool was nice, breakfast OK and Carlota the bartender was excellent!

Lovely staff

This could be a lovely hotel. However, bedroom corridor carpets were disgustingly dirty and covered in stains. No English breakfast tea in breakfast room unless purchased from the bar, although all other flavoured teas and coffees were available and included in price. This along with the overall hotel presentation needs to be reviewed. Aside from this, it has to be said that the staff are really very nice and friendly.

Is was terrible.. apart from the fact that it was soooo old, the isolation were sooo bad as you could hear the conversations from the room next to you, the towels had stains on it they were either too old or not clean, the worst part was the toilet, I assume due to old instalations every morning there was a disgusting smell coming from the toilet(which wasn't during the day) so we decide to leave the hotel 2 nights earlier, the worst experience ever, this hotel should not have even 1 star.

The general feeling of the hotel is rather depressing. This hotel needs a major refurbishment in every corner!

My stay was good, a little noisy on two nights, but it was out on the street, room nice bed comfortable, shower good, staff very helpful, breakfast fresh orange juice, decent coffee, choice’s not great, scrambled eggs were warm but never hot as We like it, would stay again as the price was fair for our stay.

A very average hotel that is in desperate need of a renovation. Very old, carpets stained in main hotel area etc. Wouldn't pay more than 70/80 a night for this in high season.

Quiet bubble in the middle of the crazy city

Lovely little hotel, comfy bed, nice breakfast. Staff was super lovely, the pool had nice shade. It could do with a facelift but it was a nice quiet spot in the middle of town, few minutes from restaurants, bus station, the beach. Would love to visit again.

Beautiful building, reception and outdoor areas. The rooms could do with some updating but the pool and garden area is lovely. The staff were fantastic- so helpful and friendly.
