Fantastisk personale og rigtig dejlig mad som er med i prisen. Rengøring er helt i top og alt på værelset fungerede som det skal. Kommer helt sikkert igen.

The room and other places were very clean and comfortable. The staff was helpful and friendly. The view from the terrace was great.

We had a magnificent sunset view from a large open balcony! Staff is very polite and food options were really good.

Sadly the sunbeds seem to be reserved often not occupied, it needs to stop all the best areas taken so early, I even went down at 8.30am to try get a good spot but no luck

Overall the hotel is very nice, the buffet was good with several options. The room A/C was blowing cold air, the problem was that the fan did not have enough power to adequately cool the room.

This property is beautifully located right on the beach. It is however a much older clientele. We felt out of place as two younger travelers. I would choose an airbnb that is near the city center if you are younger. The people that were enjoying the property looked very happy and the place is spotless!

Overpriced, took an hour to check in because the booking wasn't on the system so if U book last minute as we did U have to wait. Food was awful. Definitely not a 4 star hotel , for €250 a night I expected a lot better. Delay to check in and the fact the pool closed at 6:30pm meant we had 25mins at the pool, was dirty, tissues floating in it. Pool bar shut at 6pm, guy was pretty rude when I enquired about getting a drink. Staff in the restaurant were pleasant.

Wonderful hotel in the heart of Nerja and on the beach. Staff couldn’t have been nicer. Everyone a joy to deal with. Offered Cava on arrival and a complimentary shower/changing room as we didn’t leave the property until 6.00 pm. Highly recommend. Spotless, lovely decor, fantastic setting.

I had a lovely 2 week stay at Rui Monica. The staff were very friendly , Food delicious lots of choice, very good entertainment in the evenings. So easy to get to the beach front from Hotel. I had a little accident were I fell and the staff were amazing so kind, caring and helpful. Antonio the manager was lovely. Thank you all for your kindness and help.

Excellent séjour, hôtel bien situé, chambre agréable , seul point négatif: 1 seul restaurant à la carte ouvert avec menu restreint.Le menu du buffet est très varié et c’était très apprécié d’ouvrir la terrasse.

Couldn’t be more impressive!

We always enjoy our stay at RIU Monica. It is very easy to arrive by car, plenty of room in front of the hotel to arrive then find a parking spot or use hotel parking lot. I really enjoy room with a balcony, rooms and the hotel are very, very clean. Gym has a few bikes, rowing machine, eliptical, treadmill, and a few weight machines. There are so many great spaces inside and outside the hotel. Both breakfast and dinner are excellent, you can sit outside over the ocean (by heaters if needed). The restaurant staff is incredible, very professional. This is adults only hotel. Also, it is an easy hour drive to the Alhambra (drive up and spend a night at Aurea Washington Irving, also very easy to pull up and take your time to get in and staff will park your car for $25 a night, you can easily walk to Alhambra from hotel). We are usually in Nerja in January, weather is generally 60s and sunny, water temp is also around 60 so swimming is not too bad. We are in our mid 60s and are very active, this hotel really suits us well.

Vi har haft en riktigt bra vecka på detta fina hotell! Bra service och bra mat! Vi saknar teman för buffén någon gång för det blir lite tråkigt med nästan samma mat varje dag! Tapas restaurangen besökte vi två gånger och var väldigt nöjda med mat och service! Vi rekommendera detta senior hotell för oss som hellre blir överkörda av rullatorer än för barnvagnar! Vi är nöjda och kan nog komma tillbaka igen!

Great food

Our first time at the Riu Monica, we were not disappointed, very friendly staff who were all keen to help. Excellent location alongside the beach, a short stroll into the main old town of Nerja. Good food options with buffet breakfast and dinner. Drinks very reasonably priced.

We liked the position of the hotel as it is out of the centre of Nerja but is less than a10 minute walk into the centre. The hotel accommodation was very good and the bed was very comfortable. There was entertainment each evening was usually of a good quality. Not all of it appealed to us but we enjoyed some good acts. The food was very good in the main hotel restaurant and there was always something different in the buffet. It was disappointing to have to pay for the use of the room safe as free use is a standard in most decent hotels nowadays. It would be nice to have the option of some activity around the pool during the day as otherwise it is quite a boring atmosphere. We ended up hiring sunbeds on the beach most days which was much more entertaining.

Very nice service and very good location

Amazing location, great views and very good breakfast options. A good holiday hotel, mainly for older visitors but good for couples too.
