The hotel is good but the internet isn’t good in the bedrooms and the tv keep going on and off and led on the kettle was Fred and was dangerous apart from that it was ok the restaurant was good but a bit expensive and we went down later on for something light to eat at the bar but they were not light snacks to eat apart from dinners

Very authentic historic hotel with atmospheric bedrooms and public areas. However restaurant extremely expensive and for us delivered poor food, scallops with sickly cheesy sauce and slab of dubiously cooked monkfish. Breakfast self serve great but cooked selection much less so, tasteless fry for me and undercooked watery mushrooms on soggy sourdough for wife. In summary great looking hotel let down by poor overly expensive food.

We loved our stay at the Old Inn - rooms were nicely decorated, clean and comfortable. Spa facilities etc were all beautiful and had a lovely relaxing atmosphere. Restaurant was really good - lovely food, great service and attentive staff. Young waiter and waitress (I think called Leo and Sofie) both really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great quality and freshly cooked, ordered from a menu rather than buffet. Any and all staff we encountered were friendly, chatty and helpful. Love the general atmosphere - chilled out, laidback, peaceful with rustic decor and good lighting etc. No complaints - would definitely recommend and stay again.

The staff at The Old Inn were great. So helpful and friendly. The food is fantastic. We had picked this hotel as it had a spa facility and had been recommended to us. It didn’t disappoint. The spa is compact but has everything there that you need. The only issue we had was the room that we were given was directly above the bar and looked out onto the main road. As it was warm we had the window open but could hear the cars all night. Also there was a singer on (who was very good) but unfortunately was loud so we weren’t able to relax and watch TV in our room that evening. The music went on till 11pm. Then the noise from next doors Tv kept us awake even longer. If we were to return we would definitely request a room at the rear of the hotel. Breakfast was great. Again staff were very attentive.

We had a nice stay at The Old Inn, was it worth the cost? I’m not so sure. The decor of the hotel is really nice and it was very clean. We had a Junior suite with a copper bath in the room, which was gorgeous! And the bathroom was really lovely. I visited the spa at about 5pm and the hot tub and pool was full to bursting. My husband took 1 look, turned on his heel and left- there were just too many people for the space. But in saying that, the facilities are lovely and it does look and feel quite luxurious and you can order drinks via a QR code whilst in the pool/tub if you manage to find a space. The food offering seemed rather fine dining focused with corn fed chicken breast, duck, lamb, lobster on offer and while my meal was nice, I feel that the food was overpriced considering that a main was £29+ before you added in £6 side and £4 sauces etc. The shared spaces definitely need some maintenance. And while all of the above did not detract in any way from the hotel, it’s sort of what you expect with a Galgorm collection hotel now, but what I was disappointed by was the fact that all the lovely character of that hotel had been replaced by a

Love The Old Inn, holds very special memories for us but this time was not a pleasant experience. The lack of aircon made for an extremely hot nights sleep. Spa was lively, met some lovely people, but others were obnoxious, dangerously drunk and loud. One older couple, hogged the jacuzzi for hours and intimidated everyone else to go away by spreading out everytime one went near it. And breakfast was disappointing quality....tasteless mushrooms on hard sourdough with undercooked poached eggs was a bad choice. And i really wouldve liked some hot water for my tea and no one came near us!!

Charming old building combined with modern luxury, excellent SPA facilities if that’s your thing. Cosy bar, quality food and excellent service. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for. Great spot for exploring the County Down coast, we were lucky with the weather.

Fantastic overnight in a suite. The room was fabulous and beautifully decorated. The bathroom amazing and the free standing bath was luxurious. Food good and service warm and friendly. A wonderful experience in a particularly beautiful part of Northern Ireland. The spa facilities were also very well organised. Will definitely be back again. Well done!

Fantastic two night break at the Old Inn. Stumbled into the monthly pub quiz on the first night. Had excellent breakfasts both days with a great meal in the restaurant the 2nd night. Spa was thoroughly relaxing. Lovely sipping a cocktail in the pool.
