Transparent Review of the Property: Property Condition: This hotel is not the most well-maintained option in the City Center area of Morelia. It’s one of the more run-down properties available. The ceilings showed clear signs of water damage that had not been repaired, and several appliances were either dirty or had broken parts. The bathroom had visible mold, no toiletries were provided, and the showerhead was rusted with calcium and lime buildup. Additionally, we found small gnats throughout the room. Staff Experience: The staff was inconsistent in terms of friendliness. The morning front desk staff and room attendants were welcoming, and some of the waitstaff in the dining area were friendly as well. However, others seemed rushed and less approachable. Unfortunately, the evening front desk staff member was inattentive, unfriendly, and unhelpful. For example, on our third night, we requested an extra roll of toilet paper, only to be told that it wasn’t available, as "every room comes with one roll" and we’d have to wait until morning to ask the room attendants. However, in the morning, the staff clarified that this was incorrect, and we should have received the roll immediately. Location: The hotel’s location is a positive aspect. It’s less than a 10-minute walk to the cathedral, with plenty of nearby food and shopping options. The area always felt safe, and there was ample street parking, as the hotel is not directly in the City Center.

This 3-bedroom, 1-bathroom suite on the third floor offers a cozy and accommodating stay, ideal for a medium-sized family of 5-6 members. The layout provides enough space for comfort while maintaining a homey atmosphere, making it a great choice for families visiting Morelia. The suite includes a compact kitchen that, although small, meets the basic needs for preparing meals for a small group. WiFi is included, and while the connection is decent most of the time, there were occasional interruptions during our stay. The provided breakfast is a delightful addition, consisting of toast, a selection of fruits such as papaya, watermelon, and bananas, and coffee. Portions are on the smaller side, but the quality of the food makes up for it. The “hot cakes” were fluffy and flavorful, and the chilaquiles were a standout, bursting with authentic Mexican flavors. The property also offers meals at a fair price, with a menu that delivers both quality and value. The staff stands out for their professionalism and courtesy, promptly addressing any concerns we had, such as replacing a non-functional microwave upon request. The no unannounced-visitor policy ensures a secure and safe environment for guests, which adds an extra layer of comfort for families. However, there are a few notable drawbacks to consider. The stairs leading to the third floor have short steps, which could pose a safety risk for children, elderly guests, or those with mobility issues. Additionally, the stairs are poorly lit at night, making them hazardous. Another issue was the slightly low water pressure in the bathroom, which could be improved for a more comfortable experience. Despite these inconveniences, the overall experience was pleasant. The staff’s attentiveness, combined with the security and reasonable pricing, makes this suite a solid choice for families seeking a safe and comfortable stay in Morelia.

OMG! this is by far my favorite place to stay. For the Price, the location, the size of the Suite, and the Beauty. Amazing! The staff is great! They were always friendly, and were willing to go out of their way to make sure your stay is comfortable, and safe. The rooms are very colorful, and it feels like you are at home. The Hotel itself has a pleasant vibe. They used to be apartments. I lived there as a child. I stayed in the same room I lived in, #3, the Van Gogh. I had a nostalgic stay. I almost didn't want to leave again. The breakfast downstairs is amazing! It is affordable, and delicious. Try the "Uchepos", They are accompanied with a fresh, and tasty tomato salsa that hits the spot. Every part of the Breakfast is amazing. If you want to eat lunch or didn't get a chance to eat breakfast, you can go three doors to the right of the Hotel. They have very good food. I used to eat there all the time. Everything is walking distance from the Hotel. If you get a chance, go up to the roof top. It might be open. Ask first. The view is one of the best in the city. I hope to buy my apartment back some day soon. I miss it. very much, and I want to live in Morelia 6 months out of the year. Rodrigo

This is small hotel it has been here for a long time. It needs some updates, but for the price it can't be beat. Since the city is just starting to reopen the restaurant on site was still close. Which means if you want a cold drink you need to walk a little bit. Rooms don't have central a/c because of the mild climate in Morelia but the rooms do have fans and individual heaters in case you are there in the winter.
