The staff were very professional and accommodating. The carpets could do with some cleaning and the outside needs some improvement in aesthetics. However, the service at the front desk from all the staff, especially David, was a cut above the rest. I would definitely recommend.

Well, let's just say it's definitely NOT like the pictures on the website. The first room we were given was in the back building, it was pretty rough looking, hazy and broken windows, peeling paint etc. We walked in and it smelled like weed and cigarettes, the door to our room looked like it had been previously kicked in. We didn't have to use our key card because the lock was broke so you could just push it in. There was tar or oil on the sheets of the bed and oily finger prints on the walls and doors. The bathroom sink was running and couldn't be turned off and the chairs were very stained. There was no way we were staying there. The nice lady at the counter(Princess) upgraded us to a suite in the main building and apologized profusely and told us she and her team had just started and did not realize just how big of a mess they were inheriting. Our suite was better, but not by much. The plug in at the head of the bed was pulled out of the wall with wires exposed, the bed was broken and folded you in half, the window was broken, the bathroom door was broken, there were stains on the sink, the couch sagged inwards and the faucet and handles on the Jacuzzi were loose and sketchy, and it's seriously in need of new carpet and paint. Breakfast? What breakfast? Seems people who stay on the weekdays get very few choices. The weekend choices were better. No towels for the pool, no iron, no coffee maker, very little toilet paper. Apparently these items are frequently stolen.

Sheets had stains all over them, tub didn’t drain, tv didn’t work, nobody at front desk, waited 10 min for somebody to come check us in, cobwebs in the ceiling corners, dingy, tried calling the front desk 3 times to ask why tv wasn’t working and no one ever answered.

It was slow getting what we needed (extra pillow, swim towels). The room looked like it needed some repair done. Breakfast was almost a half hour later opening then what the sign said.

It was the worse hitel i have ever seen. Check in was great the young girl. Very helpful. She said just a minute i want to check your room. 5pm at night she came back with sheets so she must have changed the bed.in room, no TV, no tolet paper, girl came with towels, the sink in bathriom was coming off the wall, floor flooded with water., bathroom was so dirty i would not give our dog a bath there. Windows were broke and taped together at 7:30am vacuum the halls out side looked like no one was there. This place is a Disgrace. And to think the are part of hotel.com. only reason we stayed is wee were tired and the beds were clean did not want to huurt the young girl at the desk. Other people left annd we should have left when they told us out side before going it. Its BAD.

Do not stay here. This place was filthy, stains on everything. There is a gentlemen's club directly behind this location. The only positive thing about this place was Serena the evening manager. There is no fitness center as is advertised. The internet was sketchy my entire stay. Only had two sheets for a blanket. The only reason i stayed was because i booked using a third party and could only get a refund through them. When i checked in there were several men standing near the counter, the manager gave directions to my room loud enough for them to hear. I felt unsafe as a female traveling alone. No coffee pot in room. The manager did attempt to give me one but it did not work. Also no light bulbs in the lamp. The only plug in near the bed was in the middle behind the bed. i had to pull the mattress out to plug in necessities.

Pictures are stock photos not of the real property. Sketchy location, awful condition of building in general, front desk was slow and snarky responses. Didn't care that room smelled like cigarettes. Crumbs on every table serviceand hairs on toilet... Though the beds did look clean. We felt so uncomfortable and unsatisfied that we ate the money and went and paid for a clean hotel downtown.

Do not stay here. Pictures are absolutely deceiving. So bad that the previous Guest stole all the batteries out of the remotes and funny enough the front desk did not have any new batteries to replace it with. This place is a joke. Absolutely disgusting, everything is falling apart, the bathroom had bugs on the floor. I would never let a child around this facility. Wouldn't even recommend to the homeless

The worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Tryed to call for over an hour to pay for the room over the phone and the phone was never answered. Checked into the hotel and the room smelt horrible, broken windows on the outside of the building and woke up in the morning with my chest hurting from how bad the room smelt. If I was Wyndham I would be contacting this owner and finding out what's going on. Very bad experience and probably never stay at a Baymont again

The Baymont Wyndham Ankeny was so terrible that we could not event stay. Unclean, unsanitary, smelled of smoke and urine. And will not contact me to refund my charges. I also cannot make contact with Hotels.com. Will be filing a complaint with the BBB and the city itself. This place should not be operational.

The room wasnt clean. Took off my shoes and stepped in something crunchy. Looked closer looked like food was spilled and poorly cleaned. The room only had 1 towel. Pool said it would have towels so to not take any from the room. There were none. The staff were nice though.

Could not check in due to “weather” issues was informed to reach out to my third party for a refund. Arrived at 8:30pm after a funeral to find out I had to cancel my reservation get a refund and then I had to call another number to rebook at a different rate because the employee who could careless informed me he couldn’t do it for me. When we went into our room, the bed was rumpled and obviously not fresh. The TV didn't work, but I was told "Everybody says their TV doesn't work". When I asked for another room, I was told that no others were available. I asked the clerk for her name, and she covered her name badge. When I repeated my request, she told her co-worker to "Call the cops" if I asked again.

My boyfriend took me here for a weekend getaway for Mother’s Day. We had to switch rooms three times due to stained up sheets and cigarette burns and stained up mattress. 2nd room the smoke detector kept going off and they couldn’t get it to stop. 3rd room air wasn’t working very well and blankets in that room where still stained and nasty. They offered no discount or refund due to them saying they have a no refund policy. I give the gentleman named Sam that works there props. He tried to help us out and put us in another room. They also had no working phones or cable in 2 of those rooms. I will not be back here and I have stayed in plenty of Baymont hotels.
