The hotel is alright, but there is a lot of construction going on and it is notable that many amenities are not operating as they should. For example, pools are all running with a lower water level than they should and are not heated, the central building is all fenced off and under noisy renovations all day, many areas appear work and unkept. Food is good and staff are friendly, beach is beautiful and rooms are alright. It’s a decent resort, but it doesn’t leave you feeling overly impressed. Bizarrely it’s the only resort of dozens I’ve been to over the years where there’s basically nowhere to sit in the evenings, no lobby space let alone a lobby bar, so if you want to sit and relax after dinner or play cards you’ll be stuck going back to your room. This wasn’t a terrible vacation, but I would not recommend Emporio and would not go back again. Lots of better options out there.

The place was fine, the staff were lovely but the food wasn’t great. It was the overall vibe of an all inclusive, the other guest would go out early to save beach or pool chairs and not be there to use them and when they did finally show up get mad you were too close to them.

Rooms were nice and modern, staff friendly enough. No water on rooms, fridge(s) broken (all three rooms that we booked), never fixed in 9 days stay, restaurants impossible to make reservations (only two restaurants in the whole resort), and once we were in the restaurant for dinner, ordered everything and waited over an hour just for the appetizer?!? lines for buffet food to get in very long, etc. overall, would not go back, therefore would not recommend.

El servicio del personal terrible , nunca toallas de playa disponibles , en la habitación solo 2 tuallas y éramos 4 pedí que me enviaran más nunca llegaron. Nunca se pudo reserva para comer ala carta. Y los restaurantes vacíos 16 mil por 2 noches. Lo peor.

Great resort, amenities, and beach access. Not enough beach umbrellas/chairs compared to people (we showed up at 8:30 am and got the last 3 beach chairs). Buffets had great options for food, but the restaurants on-site were really lacking in terms of flavour & quality.

It was a great place to stay! We were doubtful about a 4 star resort but it exceeded all our expectations! Room was amazing, we got the ocean view and we woke up watching sunrise and sunset and the beach! Staff was nice and kind too, most of them spoke english so it was convenient for us. There were couple restaurants and bars near the beach which was also convenient! Food was average tho. Overall great experience will visit again for sure!!

My stay at Emporio was overall very good, which is why I would rate it 4 out of 5. The highlight was definitely the ocean-view room. The proximity to the sea is absolutely beautiful and incredible. Waking up and seeing the ocean so close truly makes a difference and elevates the entire experience. The room was comfortable, clean, and well maintained. You can tell they take care of the essentials, which is always appreciated. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout my stay. From check-in to service in the common areas, everyone was willing to assist and made the experience pleasant. As for the buffet, although it looks appealing and offers a wide variety of options, the flavor could be improved. I tried both the dinner and breakfast buffets, and in both cases I felt that while the selection is generous and adequate, the focus seems to be more on providing volume rather than standout quality. The food isn’t bad, but it lacks flavor. Overall: excellent location, spectacular ocean views, comfortable and clean rooms, and attentive staff , with some room for improvement in the food quality. Still, it was a good experience.

We stayed at the Emporio Cancun Feb 4-11, 2026, & had a great time. Staff - Everyone we met was friendly & helpful. They all spoke enough English to make up for our very weak Spanish. Food - We really liked the buffets, especially breakfast & dinner. Lots of selection, and we liked almost everything we tried. À la carte restaurants - Really liked Fasano (Argentinan food). The Italian restaurant, Bocali, was not good at all though. The staff were nice but the food was terrible. Room - Had everything we needed. Had an issue w one bed not being clean when we arrived & the mini fridge didn’t work (we asked for it to be fixed/replaced, but it never was). We also didn’t know we were supposed to have bottled water in the room until after our first stay over service & by then we’d already bought a $10 USD bottle of water from the over-priced store in the resort (ouch!). If you don’t have water in your room when you arrive, make sure to request it & save yourself some money. Pools - Nice but pretty cold while we were there (sounds normal based on the time of our visit). The ocean was actually warmer so that’s where we did all our swimming. It was nice to hang out around the pools though & it allowed for great service from the staff. We really enjoyed renting the cabanas. Make sure to get all-inclusive though. Even w/out alcohol, the buffets cost too much to be able to save money by not getting all-inclusive. Overall, we liked our stay and would stay here again.

Overall pleased with the hotel. Rooms could’ve been cleaner, balcony wasn’t cleaned unless we asked (bird poop all over the cushions).
