Whole hotel is well set out and the staff are great if we are ever in the area again we will be returning

Great location and room clean. On arrival we changed rooms as a dog in the next room that did not stop barking New room was the same but had a better sofa in the seating area. The toilet and cistern were not fixed to the wall and floor properly and the water ran loudly all night. It took 3 days to finally resolve after many trips to reception to chase up. Air conditioning rubbish operated centrally and not switched on, only heat available and you could not adjust to cool air on the room thermostat.

Breakfast was ok every day except Saturday which is market day and many people came in from outside for breakfast when us and many other guests arrived there was very little food available. This was remedied after many guests complaining to management, but waiting 25 minutes for eggs, milk, Orange juice, fresh bread and for a cup of coffee is unacceptable in a hotel of this standard. Basically, there was not enough kitchen and waiting staff to cope with this sudden influx of people from outside. However, the Market is every Saturday so this problem should have been forseen. On the two final days of our stay an extra member of the kitchen team was added and things returned to normal. Although they took the brunt of the complaints the waiting staff were always polite and helpful. This was a management problem However this was a small problem and did not deter us from enjoying our stay. We would book this hotel again!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay in The Port Salins hotel! A warm welcome at reception, a lovely room with a spacious balcony overlooking the canal, and in a very central location. Although we never used it, the pool looked so inviting. Our evening sitting on the balcony was relaxing and most enjoyable - a highlight of our stay!! The bed was very comfortable and a good nights sleep was a godsend. We would describe the shower as “the best ever”. There was plenty of variety for breakfast, I only wish I’d spotted the tables set out by the pool sooner as that environment would have enhanced our experience. We would highly recommend this lovely hotel and would love to return.

Public areas of hotel were nice - modern decor and comfortable. Pool area and rooftop bar very attractively furnished. Rooms were clean but dated - chips and scuffs on furnishings, chipped toilet seat, no amenities in room apart from shampoo and shower gel - and 2 free cartons of water . Corridors were basic, did not have the feel of a 4 star hotel.

What a wonderful stay such helpful reception staff Salvador who goes above and beyond and so welcoming and helpful Housekeeping is great and the harbour is lovely and great views and supermarket and eateries local as well as the lovely beach

We only stayed one night so this is based on that short stay. Location is prime for this hotel. It is only a block or so from the beach with restaurants and a long promenade. Our room had a balcony that overlooked the pool, canal and marina. Parking is readily available right outside the hotel door. The staff at the front desk spoke English so communication was easy.

Will definitely come back

Did exactly what I needed it to. I was passing through Empuriabrava so just needed a place to sleep for the night. It’s very conveniently located to the beach and the main strip of restaurants for those looking to stay longer though

Service at this hotel is exceptional. We requested an extra comforter and pillows whe we checked in and our check in clerk brought them up herself 3 minutes after we left the counter. Very friendly staff that catters to all your needs. The dinner that evening was amazing. The chef came out while we were in the lobby browsing at the menu and he offered us to make anything we wanted, even if not in menu! His food was outstanding. This is a great hotel!

A great place to stay

Located close to beach and restaurants. Rooms need a little bit of update as they are getting old but they are clean and comfortable. Front desk staff is friendly. We only stayed two nights and did not use the facilities so can't comment on that. We would recommend this hotel.

This is a very nice hotel in a great location. The rooms and the hotel in general are immaculately clean. The restaurant food is good quality. You can walk to the beach in a few minutes and their are plenty of bars and restaurants within a few minutes walk. The hotel has maybe 4 or 5 guest parking places and there are many on street parking spaces outside, however the on street parking must be paid for in the summer (free off season)
