We had an amazing stay! The hotel staff were extremely friendly and attentive. They truly went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful time. The rooms are very spacious, well-equipped, and have comfortable beds. Great location! There are plenty of shops and restaurants within easy walking distance. Hotel parking can be tricky, but we had no trouble finding street parking close by, so it wasn't an issue for us. We also enjoyed the indoor pool at their sister hotel's spa; it was lovely and a great experience for the whole family.

Great location

We enjoyed our stay here, the room was clean and spacious. Some people in our group had updated rooms so they are in the process of renovating however ours was great. We had a little kitchenette, separate bedroom, living area. The staff was very accommodating, it was close to many great restaurants and the waterfront. The pool area was spacious, and great views of the area. We walked downtown which was about 40min but easy to get Uber or bus nearby.

This is a good hotel. If you´re looking for a affordable and good hotel but not luxury. It has what you need and the location is good.

Breakfast was good. Service was good. Rooms were clean- lack of suitable furniture in the common room (take over-abundance of furniture from the lobby and use it in older style rooms). Ocean view from room was good - even though there is no balcony off the room (which was larger than normal, I think)

Good buffet breakfast with many options. Room was very clean and was serviced every day. Staff was Top Notch.

I wish there was a regular oven in addition to the microwave oven. Ocean view was great.

We had a pleasant stay at the Florasol. It is nothing fancy, but the location is excellent (all services are within walking distance), the view from our room was nice, the room itself was clean and the housekeeping staff was friendly and efficient.

They have changed their categories of Deluxe Seaview to include floors 2 and 3. You cannot apparently be SURE you have a room on floors 5 to 12, even if you are staying for a month. This was our 3rd year staying at the property, and check in wanted us to take a room on the lower “tree view” “traffic view” floors. If they change their policy, I will give them a better review.

The room was cleaned and towels and bedding changed frequently. The staff were very pleasant and courteous and nothing was too much trouble.

There is no air conditioning anywhere in this building. The parking situation was very confusing. It is difficult to find the actual building as there is only a small name in glass above the door. Young woman at desk was very unhelpful, even stating that there were NO good restaurants in Funchal when we asked for a reservation. Breakfast was just mediocre. On the plus side, the room was huge, pool area very nice, and area was very quiet.

Nice large apartment , with great view , pool in great condition. Highly recommended. Special mention to Rogelio and Tania in the breakfast dining area, they looked after us well.

The property was walking distance to many restaurants and the forum of Madeira. We had a wonderful view of the ocean and great pool.

Location of the hotel was good. Staff was very nice and friendly. Pool area was clean. The only problem was that we got a room that did not look like the pictures at all. It’s clear that many rooms have been renovated (and hence the pictures). However our room was dark and gloomy. The kitchen was in a dark room that looked like a bathroom… we were disappointed…
