The property is excellent for families, big size room, had a balcony, daily room refresh, daily huge selection continental breakfast, friendly accomodating staff, outdoor and indoor pools, great location to head out to restaurants and city centre.

The location was very convenient - quiet and easy parking yet walkable to all sites in Ponta Delgada. The breakfast was a full hot breakfast with many options hot and cold. The pools were a nice option regardless of weather. My only complaint is the pillows were not comfortable at all. Staff were friendly and helpful. I’d stay here again!

The hotel is a bit rundown due to its age, but it's clean and the staff are wonderful. My fridge didn't work and they fixed it right away. The only annoying thing was the hair dryer as it's an old style attached to the bathroom wall whose switch needs to be pressed down with your thumb the whole time you are using it. I liked the indoor and outdoor pools and the hot tub. Breakfast is free and plentiful. Lots of free parking and a quick walk to downtown. Dinner at the hotel wasn't great and was pricy; I would recommend going out to a local restaurant instead.

We had an amazing view of the city and the sea, which saved the experience because other services were really not great. It's more like a 3 star hotel, not 4. Breakfast was average, pool good, sauna not working, lifts were extremely slow and one of them kept breaking down. Everything is quite old. Bed was hard. The buffet dinner was really expensive, €30 pp for food which isn't great. Many of tge staff didn't speak English. No room service available. Our last day, we were provided a "lunch box" as we were leaving for an early flight. I think people on prison get a better meal than what we got.

A good location at the top of the hill and has great indoor and outdoor swimming pools. Rooms are a good size and beds comfortable. Some of the decor is a little tired and the breakfast really is not worthy of a four star hotel.

The hot tub was shooting out cold water and needed to be warmer!

The Sao Miguel Park Hotel is centrally located and easily accessed by car or on foot. The rooms are comfortable, clean and well appointed. The breakfast provided good variety and quantity of foods that should meet all preferences. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful. We would highly recommend this hotel.

We were here for a quick to the airport for a 6:30am flight the next day. Comfortable bed and relaxing shower… staff was pleasant on arrival and departure.

Very nice, clean property with friendly staff. Short walk to downtown and nearby Antonio Borges Botanical Garden. Great breakfast was included. Would recommend.

Since I was benefitted from reading others’ comments, want to document my experience in case it is helpful for anyone in future. First, the most positive is the location. To south, it takes 10 minutes to walk to waterfront/downtime. To north, walk less 10 minutes for gas station and a large shopping complex in which you may find food court, grocery store, etc. During peak season, probably convenient to walk around instead driving and trying to find a parking spot. Second, the hotel has ample parking space….at least I noticed during the Christmas time (probably low season). Hotel staff was nice and polite. However, the hotel is old with facilities quite rundown. In the change room and sauna, no lockers, no towels, no shampoos/shower gels. Usually it was shut down. You need to request front desk to turn it on and warm up. Breakfast is continental with warm items just eggs and bacon. In summary, if you go there during low season, you could stay outside of city and then when going to downtown, just park free at the shopping mall and then walk to waterfront.
