What an incredible stay for our first time in Fiji, we were welcomed ‘home’ from the outset. Excellent for families with a wide variety of activities for our little ones- we didn’t need to leave the resort once. Thanks again for making our first overseas family holiday a memorable one - we can’t wait to come back!

We had an amazing time here!! Staff were one of the biggest highlights - their genuine friendliness and happiness to help. Every single staff member will greet with a "Bula!" even if just passing by. Every request was accommodated with a smile and the interaction we had with each staff member was really positive and warm. Rooms were admittedly a little outdated but it didnt bother us as they were so clean and spacious. Housekeeping staff were top notch in keeping them clean daily and thought of the little things to make our stay comfortable which was so appreciated. Views from our Ocean View room were astounding.. I could look out the balcony all day!! Facilities were amazing. So many things to do from tennis, mini golf, horseback riding, cycling... swimming pools were huge and there were multiple around the property. Our toddlers LOVED the kids pool and would play there for hours a day. There were so many beaches around the property to swim in too and water was crystal clear!! The kids club was also really great but our kids were a little young to make full use of it. Restaurants and food were amazing!! We alternated between Takali Asian Restaurant and the Lagoon Terrace Buffet and the food was delicious in both. Huge selection and variety. The property grounds were huge and you could leisurely walk around the whole island. Well maintained with beautiful gardens. And the sunset views from the resort were breathtaking!! Overall, such an amazing stay here!!

The property was beautiful, well arranged, and had fabulous food at myriad restaurants. The service was at island speed but we got used to it as we relaxed and got into our vacation. Staff were very attentive and friendly though. Loved the snorkeling from shore and the availability of watersports on site.

Young family We recently stayed here and overall had a good time, with a few helpful things to note for families. Dining: All restaurants fill up quickly when it rains. Best to book at least a day in advance. The Asian restaurant was our favourite. The buffet was okay but very overpriced compared to other dining options. Room service is convenient but slow (plan for about an hour). Kids’ meals were good. Facilities: The pools are excellent—warm (29–30°C) and great for kids. The main pool is best for little ones, while the smaller one near the Asian restaurant is quieter. We were disappointed that adults aren’t allowed in the adults-only pool even when using a babysitter. Kids Club & Babysitting: The kids club is for ages 4+, and babysitting is $35 for 3 hours ($12 per hour after). You need to book at least 3 hours in advance. We had a great babysitter for our 1-year-old. Our four-year-old enjoyed the kids club, but one day he left and found us at the pool without staff noticing—so we didn’t feel comfortable using it again. Rooms & Services: They accommodated a late checkout to 2 PM, which was great—it let our one-year-old nap before the flight. Wi-Fi is very weak, so download any entertainment before arriving. Beds were comfortable. Other Tips: The spa is a nice area and the massage was average and expensive. Ask your taxi to stop at Four Square for water and mixers—it’s much cheaper than the resort stores.

Nice place

We have been back to Shangri-La many times for our family holidays. The staff is always so friendly and helpful, we love that is so family oriented. I also liked that the resort is taking some measures towards sustainability with paper straws and going away from small plastic shampoo and conditioner bottles towards refillable ones. I think it could still go further by having water refill stations instead of plastic water bottles every day for each room. I noticed the straw umbrellas by the beach are getting a bit sparse and tired, as are some of the recliners. Also the staff uniforms are looking old and seem very hot and not appropriate for the weather.

Set on it's own small island the Shangri-la Fiji, though the largest resort in Fiji, doesn't disappoint with ambiance and features. Plenty of dining options, activities or beach front for relaxing.

We had an incredible trip. The staff was amazing and the food was very good everywhere we ate. Must stay on reef adults only side if you aren't traveling with kids. Otherwise, your experience will be very different. Shout out to Loraini and James for taking such good care of us!! They made us feel like celebrities!! We stayed in a reef bure and wow!! So glad we stayed here!!

Fantastic resort for families

Great stay with kids. Food was awesome. Service at restaurants is very slow.

Arrival at the resort was fantastic, was a bit disappointed our room wasn’t available from the first night, but was rectified a day later, resort staff were fantastic and always helpful, Staff at all restaurants and bars were great happy and smiling and accommodating besides some of the staff at Beach Bar $ Grill, they would blatantly ignore you making you wait long periods of time for food and drink, making your experience uncomfortable and underwhelming,

We had an amazing 6 nights in the adukts reef wing. Bed was comfortable , the staff are super friendly and helpfull. I was concerned how far away from restaurants we were as have had a knee operation rece and getting around was slow. It was a breeze all very walkable and if you feel like it grab a lift on the buggies. Good snorkeling good food. Very enjoyable

This hotel is dated but clean and the staff were amazing. I would definitely return. Great place for a family holiday!

Wonderful stay at Shangri la Fiji! The hotel manager was fabulous, every staff we met was kind and friendly, Tori our nanny was very kind and the kids loved her. Good snorkelling and swimming right off of lagoon beach. Excellent place to stay for families. We will be coming back!

We stayed for 7 nights with our 2 year old. Beautiful resort with everything we needed. He loved playing in the toddler pool. The restaurants had a great variety and very toddler friendly. Staff were fantastic, warm and accomodating.
