Room was very spacious and comfortable. There was only body wash (no shampoo) but all in all, a nice set up. Bar was excellent with friendly staff and a great feature drink.

The hotel is very nice and very conveniently located.

Wonderful stay at The Madison from check in to check out. The room was spacious and comfortable, the bathroom was clean and the location was within walking distance of the Elbphilharmonie and Miniatur Wunderland (highly recommended). One highlight was the never empty bowl of gummies and licorice at the check in desk. Would definitely recommend!

My wife and I stayed in the Madison Hotel (Executive studio) for two nights in August 2025. We absolutely loved this hotel! The room was beautiful, spacious, spotless and had everything we needed. The location is perfect for exploring Hamburg and the hotel personnel were lovely and very helpful. The underground parking was also great. All-in-all, one of our favorite hotels that we have stayed in.

Convenient location. Breakfast was excellent. The hotel does not own a gym. The gym charges EUR 15 to use. Very inconvenient. I would normally let everything go, but one waitress, in her late fourties, with a man`s haircut, grey hair was very rude and this is totally unforgiveable in a service industry. She also attacked us verbally in the parking garage. I stayed at the hotel with my wife and son. I own my own business, if one of my staff members would do this to our customers, this employee would be terminated immediately. I hope this honest review will be published and management will take action.

The location is great. It is easy to walk to St. Michael church and the mall. There are lots of dining and shopping options nearby.

The staff was terrific! The room was spacious and clean. We loved the use of the laundry, as well. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Hamburg.

The Madison Hotel is a very nice, easy accessible hotel in the heart of Hamburg’s Altstadt (old city). The hotel was impeccably clean, the staff super friendly and willing to help with any questions. Our room was spacious and ready upon our arrival. The hotel has onsite parking and the Madison phase a partnership with the fitness center directly next door. We visited the gym twice and were beyond impressed with their facility. We also ordered room service one evening from the on site restaurant, and the food was delicious and delivered to our room in very timely manner. We would definitely stay at The Madison again and would highly recommend it for all the reasons stated.

the staff at every level was wonderful. We stayed for 5 nights so having a washer and dryer down the hall (at no cost was super helpful) since we were traveling for a month. There is an onsite restaurant which is convenient but so many other options for more interesting dining. It is not right in the center of old town but short and easy walking distance to the old town and MANY other interesting attractions. We would come back here.
