Owners Rob and Renee were friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was excellent

This a delightful boutique hotel. I had business in Chirnside the following morning, and this hotel was perfect. The rooms look just like the picture....spacious and individually decorated. The proprietor even got up early and offered me a breakfast at 6.30am for my early start, when she normally opens her breakfast service at 7am. The was greatly appreciated and was just one example of the very personal service I experienced. I could not have been happier. Thank you.

We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay. Renee our host was very helpful and friendly. We had a meal and breakfast which were both excellent. The accommodation was very comfortable and the decor was a lovely change from our usual contemporary. If we get back to Melb for a Yarra Valley visit, Victoria House will be our go to.

The room was dated but clean with period furniture. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We got there early and they were more than happy to let us in.

Nice location and lovely ambience

We didn’t up staying here as once we had booked we received a email from them stating that we had to call them asap with our booking details and our credit card information or we wouldn’t have a booking, called them and stated that we didn’t have a credit card and they told us we would have to come down asap which we couldn’t in order to pay a deposit as our booking wouldn’t be finalised until then. Got in contact with Expedia support who kindly called up on our behalf and got us a refund which I appreciate but besides that I think it’s poor service, not everyone has a credit card and not everyone can get down there asap to confirm their booking, this is how you lose customers.

Gorgeous room interior with friendly customer service. Felt comfortable and welcomed. Rob and Renee are running it all and it’s quite impressive. Breakfast tasted lovely and the whole stay was great value for money. I’d only suggest maybe getting a high chair for the dining room. We will definitely return for future stays in the area and I recommend it to anyone.

Unexpectedly lovely! I stayed two nights in a single upstairs room with a balcony, and it was peaceful, spotless, and full of charm. The bed was super comfortable, and I loved the character of the place—it has a unique warmth and attention to detail you don’t often find. I had breakfast both mornings and thoroughly enjoyed it—fresh and well-prepared. I also spent an evening at their wine bar — intimate atmosphere and a perfect way to wind down. The service from the owners was outstanding—genuinely warm and welcoming.

I cannot rate this place high enough, Renee was an absolutely amazing host, she was welcoming and so accomodating. The spa suite was clean and an absolute delight for a relaxing night away. We will definitely be coming back to stay…..thank you Rob and Renee

Lovely place to stay. Staff were friendly and very accommodating. Old fashioned personal service. The room was great - clean and neat, spacious with a small lounge area away from the bed. Had dinner and breakfast from the onsite restaurant - highly recommended.

Liked the decor in the motel and the owners went out of their way to ensure you enjoyed the stay.

The property exhibits and "old world" charm which makes it a unique and interesting stay. Excellent value for money,and we were made to feel very welcome. Nice breakfast for an extra charge.

Lovely couple that runs this joint. Thoroughly enjoyed my few nights there, the breakfast is amazing and the attention and guidance of the owners in curating day trips was spot on and superb. Hikes, food, laundry and shopping were all perfect recommendations <3
