Friendly, convenient, economical

Not far from the School

I like this hotel for a quick one night stay. Rooms are updated and clean, free breakfast, walking distance to Chico State. Friendly staff.

The room smelled like pee. And you cannot walk without shoes in the room you feet turn black. Won’t be staying here again.

No major complaints. It's a basic hotel experience. Nothing was above average. Sheets were rough, breakfast was lacking anything cooked like eggs or bacon, room was snug without much extra space, a little noisy, but no major problems or issues. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Nice clean, comfortable hotel. It is our favorite place to stay due in large part to the location and price.

Clean comfortable. Only problem was pipes in ceiling making noise. Ask for room without loud pipes and you should enjoy the stay

There were some very loud guests which were annoying, but the worst part of our stay was that there were possibly air conditioner units or something on the roof above us and they made crackling sounds all night long. It was pretty bad. I would be surprised if guests to our left and right didn't hear them as well.

Curtains were stained, hanging off the rod, and would not close completely. Desk staff offered a paper clip to keep them closed and said there were no other rooms. Towels were stained and worn. Shower backed up. Homeless person with a dog wandered into breakfast area. Extremely noisy. Not enough parking spots. Microwave was dirty. Mini fridge was frozen.

Front desk staff that checked us in was friendly and nice. Location was convenient. Comfortable bed and pillows. Room looks updated and nice shower. Would have given 5 stars except I had slipped and fell quite hard in the shower. There needs to be some sort of grip or shower mat offered. Or grip handles in the shower. There was nothing I could hold on to and ended up gashing my palm open for in the process of falling and severely bruised my right arm and side of my thighs.

We had a wonderful stay at the Quality Inn in Chico. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, even allowing us to leave our car at the hotel for the day after checkout so we could attend a college tour at Chico State—such a thoughtful gesture! While the exterior of the hotel appears dated, both the outdoor areas and the rooms are impressively clean and well-maintained. Our room was spotless and smelled fresh, without any hint of the dampness or cleaning odors that are common in many hotels. The refrigerator/freezer and microwave were clean and allowed up to store our beverages and reheat our leftovers.The blackout shades were fantastic and ensured a restful night’s sleep, and the overall noise level was minimal, which we really appreciated. The complimentary breakfast was another highlight, offering a variety of fresh fruits, yogurts, breads, pastries, and waffles—a great way to start the day. The attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness and ensuring a pleasant guest experience truly stood out. Overall, the Quality Inn in Chico exceeded our expectations. From the friendly service to the peaceful and comfortable stay, we give it two enthusiastic thumbs up! It’s a great choice for anyone visiting the area.
