Great location, fantastic chef/owner who is very personable and always cares about the patrons. Been returning to this hotel for the past 8 years. The food, wine pairing are incredible reflecting the talent and the passion of the owner. Wonderful Baden-Württemberg in southwest Germany, on the edge of the Black Forest. Spa and pool complete the package and its location ideal for a short stop to continue travel to France, north or south Germany or for spending a few days exploring Freiburg.

What a lovely hotel! It is a gem.

Hotel and restaurant stand out for quality and value. For a long weekend getaway with great food, great wines, cultural historic town close by, the Hirschen in Lehen is a favourite not only for us. The rooms are not luxurious, but they are very comfortable, quiet, very clean and great value for money. I don't need to write more, I suggest you try it for yourself.

For the price and the 4 star I had higher expectations, the sauna area Is not so nice , no opportunity to relax outside as is directly next to a garage. The room with Terrasse is just two table in a grass directly next to the next room… but the staff was nice and friendly and the restaurant has very good food although is also expensive.

We stayed in a suite so the room was very spacious. Room service was very prompt. Breakfast was great. The food at the hotel's restaurant was excellent. Parking is a little challenging as the spaces are tight. Reception was very accommodating.

Stayed here for a couple of days as a stopover. Nice hotel, recently renovated with friendly staff. Excellent restaurant in the garden with attentive staff and great food.

difficult to be critical.service,food,garden,pool were all excellent. location close to tram stop, so getting into central Freiburg was simple and cheap. we were able to keep the car in the shaded garage, and use the pool after check out,(it was 38 degrees!) we would be happy to use again if visiting the area

Very nice upscale hotel. Nice and large rooms for a family. Downside is the absolutely overpriced restaurant.

Very big and nice room. Overall I recommend this hotel. It is ok if you have a car. No coffee machine at the room and not even complementary water. It was nice that they give us free parking.

Clean, welcoming,great hotel with great amenities and friendly staff. A great place to relax and a great place to stay if you plan on going on a lot of excursions. Outside of the city center but that’s not a problem if you have a car

The Hotel Hirschen is a very nice hotel and so conveniently located close to the motorway. It is also quite easy to get to the city center. The rooms are spacious and the hotel is extremely quiet. We extended our stay by two nights and the manager was very accommodating. The breakfast was delicious and the staff could not have been nicer. We got great suggestions of things to do from the front desk staff. We highly recommend the hotel.

The room was very nice and spacious. There is a nice parking garage on site. No English channels on the tv. The restaurant was ok, not as good as I thought it would be after reading other reviews and was overpriced.
