All the staff were very helpful and friendly to me, from the receptionists to the restaurant staff. I am very grateful to them. The room was exactly what I wanted and comfortable. The location was near to several famous places in the city: the Bell and Drum Towers, the city walls and southern gatehouse, Huimin Jie. And the price was great!

Breakfast was not included, but for the price this was reasonable. The view was very poor from our room. There was another building right outside our window.

It used to e a very good hotel but now is a rather dated one. It could use a little renovation. The majority of the rooms, have s bad odor of smoke, even though it’s considered a non smoking hotel . (The receptionist had to change me 4 rooms before finally finding a non smelling one. The reception guys are doing their best to help the clients but the owner must do the same as well.

Fantastic location, massive room with two bathrooms and two flat TV. Very helpful personnel. Yet, one of the bathrooms had a very strong smell.

We had a very comfortable stay here. The room was very nice.

good : good location not good : Air conditioning turn off from central from 8 am, they charged me using bath robe CNY 160, I am argue with them , then charged me CNY 80 its no price list in the room. i never been charged in china using bath robe when i travel multiple city in China, rip me off.

Nice hotel not far from centre town getting older. Easy to find once there .

Very good hotel. Good and spacious room. Front desk had always someone that spoke English and they were always willing to help. Walking to many attractions is possible and transportation I very close by.

This is a pretty good hotel in terms of conditions, comfort, location and staff.

Clean and nicely maitained hotel.

The map on Expedia is wrong for the hotels location. If you bring up the map and move to the right of where the hotel is marked, you will see a half circle road. The road coming off of the middle of the half circle is Nanxin Street, that is the street the hotel is located on. Its a couple of buildings in from the corner.

The Aurum hotel was nice and easily accessible and walkable to different areas, and when areas were not within our groups preferred walking distance, there were plenty of taxis were available. My biggest complaint is the air conditioning. Our group had three rooms, each on different floors, and none of them had air conditioning working or turned on. This is unacceptable for us since we are all from Texas, Georgia, and Florida. The daytime highs were in the upper 70’s. Opening windows did help in the evening, but I felt the hotel intentionally disabled the AC on the guest floors. Main lobby and restaurant area had air conditioning.

A good hotel to stay and is quite convenient where surrounding having nice food. Is quite as the hotel is about 10 minutes walk from the town center. The front counter staffs are all very friendly and helpful and even the cleaners are polite as well. Although the room that we booked is small in size but actually is good enough to stay as we only occupied the room at night after the day trip to the place of interest.

the linen of bedding 5 more years old, you can not sleep well on such pillows. front desk management cannot get out Red tape , check on check out too too slow, billing problems as well

This was the first time that a hotel was so bad that we left after our first night and went to another hotel (Sofitel). Even though we asked for a non-smoking room, the room that we got smelled so bad, especially all the blankets and pillows. We went down and changed the room, and again horrible smell of smoke. I guess if you're a smoker you wouldn't mind that, but for us it was horrible. The English of staff was so bad that they hardly understood us, and when the next morning we told them that we are leaving, they didn't even give us a simple apology. The wifi was also super slow and spotty.

Helpful and enthusiastic staff. Smoking smell in non-smoking room. Need to open window to air the room. Airconditioning seemed not working well. Room though not very modern but well maintained. Nice view from room. Very reasonable rates and a big bargain for what was provided.
