We needed a hotel near the Gare de Lyon, and happily discovered Hotel Riesner. It was absolutely perfect for our needs. Everything was very nicely done, the room was clean and tasteful and the staff was extremely polite and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

Location, location. Hotel Riesner shines! The staff is very friendly, rooms are spacious (by Parisian standards), bathroom well appointed. It’s so very quiet by being on an alleyway between two very busy streets. It’s a 4-minute walk to Garde de Lyon. We highly recommend it.

This was a great hotel in a wonderful location in Zurich old town. The rooms were ‘simply’ furnished and very clean. Only slight points to mention would be the breakfast. We arrived at 9am (breakfast is until 10.30) and all hot food had gone, as had the rolls. Staff mentioned making more but that didn’t happen. The bath towels were on the small side and could be thicker in quality. We would have no hesitation in staying there again.

We didn’t use the gym Our bedroom was clean and the bed comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Staff was very accommodating. Breakfast was good, nothing special but was enough to start the day. The fan didn’t work in our room, only the heat was on and it got too warm in our room. We had to open the window and it got loud at night.

Room was very small but nice amenities and stylish. Bed was comfortable, staff friendly, and breakfast was really good. The hotel is really nice and I enjoyed the hallways with alcoves—featuring nice framed black and white photography—that lit up as we descended the stairs. Bathroom was excellent.

The room with 2 beds was in the street floor and it was a bit loud, as well as having windows covered with “volets”. Otherwise, the room standard was the same as the one bed room I experienced a few days before. It was clean and had all you need, on a relatively quite road, nice salon for breakfast or just for a break.

We absolutely loved this hotel! The room was clean, bright, and spacious and we were incredibly comfortable in the space. We loved that we could fill our water bottles at a station downstairs. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the location was wonderful. We had an amazing time and I would definitely stay here again!

Marie was absolutely amazing! The room was quiet and I felt very safe as a woman traveling alone. Very comfortable bed and pillows. I highly recommend this little boutique hotel. Very close to the train. Lots of options for dining. Breakfast is available on site. Just wonderful!
