A little disappointed with the hotel. Not sure about it's four star rating. The lobby looks spectacular but doesn't hold up to closer inspection. The leather in the armchairs is splitting and needs replacing, and the chairs in the bar are dirty at the top where people handle them. In my room there was a lot of scuffing to the furniture and the fridge needed a good clean in the trays on the door. I reported a curtain partially off it's rail three times and it wasn't fixed. The rooms overall are somewhat dated and plain. The hotel exterior is wearing as well. The coating on the fascia above the lobby is peeling off. Overall the hotel needs a bit of love and money invested in maintainance. I can't fault the staff. Friendly and helpful at all times. And the cleanliness was generally very good apart from that fridge door. The location is a bit out of the centre but it's not too bad. There's a supermarket opposite if you fancy stocking up on packed lunches for trail walking at reasonable, not tourist, prices. My trip was marred by unusually poor weather for the tine of year, but still found plenty to do. Do have a plan b when you come. The Atlantic is it's own boss.

Very friendly staff. Excellent location if you have a car. No problem with parking outside after 18.00. There are lot of places to have dinner. Huge supermarket close to hotel.

Hotel is clean just a bit old and needs some love. Especially the shower, it's half a bath, so if you have mobility issues not good. And shower head was not good at all (so small and not much power). But hot water ok. Pool is in the basement which is dark, and can't use it if you don't have a swimming cap. Location is convenient, close to highway if you are driving, historic town 10-15 min walk, shopping mall 25 minutes walk, grocery almost in front of the hotel. I had no issues to park on the street overnight.

Happy with rooms and staff. Not happy with Expedia Booking, I was charged for an extra night for which according to the flight schedule leaving Toronto Airport on flight SA322 at 8.45pm of April 16 would not allow for me to arrive at the VIP Executive Hotel on April 16, but on the morning of Friday April 17. 26. I expect Expedia to reimburse for the extra. night charges.

Everything about this stay was perfect. The staff were exceptional; friendly, attentive, and always willing to help. The beds were incredibly comfortable, the showers were consistently hot, and the balcony offered a gorgeous view of the city. The location couldn’t have been better, making it easy to get around and explore. I would absolutely stay here again

Excellent choice when staying in Ponta Delgada. Clean, well-appointed rooms, and friendly, helpful staff. Decent buffet breakfast. Location was just far enough outside the city center to be quiet for sleeping, but an easy walk. Close to the highway for easy access to the rest of the island. Tip: use the free street parking outside the hotel and avoid the hotel parking charge.

I didn’t used for the food staff are okay they do no service at you room for example if you need some thing need to get down and picked … Rooms were clean, but me always got in a hotel first thing I check my pillow and mattress So the mattress had many stains although they changed my room the new rooms are not equipped with proper A/C so the A/C was fonctionnes but not cooling the 2 night couldn’t sleep at all . My first room was good except the mattress A/C was cooling. The room some kind of smell may be from the carpet or the room not used for longtime even the mattress smells like when we have new mattress need to put some day what usine to goes away the factory smells

This is a great hotel with big comfortable rooms, the best night sleeps we had on our multi national trip, and is at a great location. They offer a fantastic breakfast buffet as well!

The mattress has a lot of stain on it

When walking from the nice lobby into the room, I was quite shocked - the rooms are very dated and smell old too. However, on inspection, it was clean (apart from the carpet) and I slept very well.

Recommend staff was great allowed me to stay past checkout time to accommodate my needs

Amazing stay!

I liked this place! They have a big gym, and the equipment is ok. I worked out every day. It is also a nice area for running, close to the seaside but also the Parque Urbano up the hill. I ate at the breakfast buffet every day. They could use better cereal, like Alpen Muesli, but it was great they had soy milk. Lots of fruits and other options for carnivores. The evening dinner buffet was also super convenient on bad weather days or if you already walked enough. They have a parking garage that is steep to get into and out of, but it is also easy to find parking on the street weekends and mornings/evenings.
