When we entered our assigned room, it smelled off. We opened the bathroom door and the entire ceiling and some of the wall was covered in clearly visible black mold. We returned to the front desk to ask for another room. They were very helpful. The manager showed us to a new room which was much better, but how do you allow a room to look like that and then try to rent it out? Even though they were accommodating, that put a bad taste in our mouths for the rest of our stay.

The rooms where very clean and very classy. The hotel is well located with shops nearby.

This hotel was about 20 minutes to Cork City Center so great location if you have a rental car. Ample parking. The hotel was really nice. Rooms were large. Breakfast was tasty but they didnt have potatoes which we found strange for Ireland. The pool is really large and nice but keep in mind it is part of a fitness center and not private to the hotel. For example there was a fitness class happening while we were there. Also you must have swim caps which it does note on the website but I must have overlooked it. You can also purchase them there.

Really dated hotel and it is hard to believe it is 4 star! But it is Cork! Will I stay there again - probably not!
