Comfortable hotel in a smaller charming city. Beautiful area, clean and friendly

Très joli et original hall : grands bassins avec poissons rouges. Hôtel bien situé à quelques minutes à pied du centre et parking (3€ la nuit) sur place. Chambre un peu rustique (déco avec des fausses têtes de cerfs au mur), très bien entrenue, assez grande et bonne literie. Côté route, c'est un peu bruyant avec les fenêtres ouvertes : route + voie ferrée : prévoir les boules quies.

It was very hot in the rooms, but when I asked, I was given an electrical fan to help. The service was very good with very friendly and helpful personnel.

WiFi doesn’t work, shower didn’t work, tacky decor, paltry and therefore expensive breakfast.

We stayed at this hotel for 1night we had a nice room not ultra modern but clean and tidy,small down side was the shower could do with updating to a shower cubicle instead of the old fashioned curtain. We also ate our evening meal here and it was very nice food and a good portion, would use this hotel again and the restaurant if I was in the area. Breakfast was very good too. Hotel staff were very polite and helpful

Really nice hotel with good report on quality and price, close to Donauquelle. The rooms are not to big for a family, but nice and comfortable. The breakfast is a challenge, as there is so much good food to choose from. And if you have a dinner, you'll not regret it either. The train station is just across the road, but could be a drawback also, if you get a room on that side of the hotel. The narrow ramps of the multilevel parking are not really car friendly.

No AC in rooms. Rude and unprofessional staff. They wanted to charge us inspite of it beibg prepaid and we telling them that we had paid. Lot of noise from road. Impossible to stay in summer heat.

The hotel looks ok to start with, but the rooms are a horrific disappointment. Shower curtains with mold, blankets over rugged sofa bed, a basin that was so old the enamel was tearing off.... I could go on. Oh, and dont come with a large car because you wont be able to get it into the garage without bumping it.

The rooms have not been renovated in years, the furniture is old-fashioned (at best) the room organization is ilogical (tv in odd place), no underfloor heating in the bathroom, old sofa covered with blanket etc. the parking is horrible. If you have a normal size car, good luck getting it in and out without bumps. if you have a mini (the original) or a VW bug no worries.

The hotel was nice because it was close to local transportation that you could take all over the black forest. The room was clean but there were pieces of the wall and the trim around the floor that were falling apart or falling off. The biggest con was that there was no aircon in the room and it was a hot weekend. If we opened the window there was so much noise from the neighbors. They were playing music really loud and shouting. Overall it was alright.

We had a very nice stay in Donaueschingen. It is a lovely town to visit.

A hidden gem. We have never visited the SW of Germany and were delighted to find the area was so lovely. The hotel was very conveniently positioned for the town. The reception staff were lovely, accepting my poor german before politely suggesting we speak in English. The public reas are great and the room was large and very clean. Wi-Fi a bit iffy.

I really enjoyed my holiday in the hotel and a very helpful people in the reception
