This is a very well situated hotel,inthe middle of Sligo beside the river with a view of swans.But the hotel itself is designed tp be functional,not comfortable. Moderate buffet breakfast.Neither the fried or the scrambled eggs were up to scratch.We did have a pleasant bar food meal one evening.Overall verdict,OK but not great!

We reserved - and paid for - a river view balcony room. We got a large corner balcony room that had a 6 foot metal barrier around the balcony completely obstructing the view. Great room, nonexistent view. We requested to be moved to a proper room and were told the room we were given was a “river view” and room assignment is based on “lottery.” Really?!? River view rooms were sold out and ultimately we had to push for an adequate reduction in the price, which should have been offered quickly. It should be illegal to advertise a room as having a view that requires a ladder to see!! We would have stayed somewhere else if we had been told the truth.

Great central location and beautiful building. Highly recommend this hotel as a base for exploring Sligo. Love the breakfast and outdoor terrace. Staff are warm and welcoming .

Heard so much about the hotel but fiund it over rated had a room where window did not open was there july bank holiday weekend which was very warm although there was a fan in room which I kept on at all times not worth the money for what it is

Staff was kind and helpful. Rooms were nice and clean with comfortable sheets. Room was also very spacious. AC being included was a plus. Breakfast was good, as well.

We love staying here . Great staff , very efficient check in . Great location with lovely river terrace.

Rooms were ok but a bit dated, huge function on our second night made us feel very uncomfortable, couldn’t move in the bar and noisy until 4am outside. Not great for £250 per night

It was amazing! We loved our stay at The Glasshouse and wish we could have stayed longer. Room 515 was fantastic! Incredible views of the area, especially the river below. It was quiet, clean, comfortable and spacious! The staff was professional, friendly and helpful. The food was excellent. I highly recommend staying here.

Lovely hotel and staff. Would definitely recommend.

No gym or spa

The only negative We had was at night when you wanted to have a drink and listen to music as a resident ,it was near impossible to get a seat because of so many non residents. Other than that everything was very good.
