Staff especially Electra on reception who was charming and smart with lots of tips. Room was lovely, breakfast generous and a useful bar. Great VF£ and close to the underground station.

There was an issue with the toilet cistern which I reported the first day but was never addressed, in fairness they did offer a room switch but after working all day it was not what I really wanted, could have been fixed easily.

I had went to check in which was pretty standard until it was time to pay for breakfast. The receptionist had input £109 on the card reader of which I asked why I was being charged that amount for breakfast. She proceeded to say I’m being charged for breakfast of which I explained to her that she had said it was £14 so why am I being charged £109. She then had said I’m being charged for the room and I explained to her I have already paid. She then proceeded to go back and forth with me saying I have not paid and it is not on the system I have only paid for the guarantee. I then showed her my confirmation receipt to which she said well it’s not on her system. I honestly felt extremely embarrassed. She had requested for me to show her my bank transaction of which I did then I was asked if I had paid in euros as if that would make a difference?!?! I had paid the full amount end of. I felt like such a lemon. She then eventually found it and offered no apology what so ever! I was fuming, i eventually found my room which was okay for a superior room but not amazing. That experience honestly made me want to leave. The breakfast too was mediocre some things were cold and it wasn’t very clean. Tables were left dirty. Clayton in Aldgate has been my absolute favourite I’ve stayed there 3x and will continue to go back. Chiswick was my first time and by far my worst will not be going there again!!

Reception area was very nice. Rooms just ok, both TV didn’t work, sink drain was blocked and very cold in the room.

Hotel was good. If there were designated people to handle luggage, the service would have exceptional. We had to lot of luggage and it was difficult to carry all even using the trolley
