Clean, comfortable and walking distance to restaurants and shopping

First time at this hotel. The beds were very comfortable, the AC was nice and cold, the birds that were outside our doors were the alarm clock .. lol beautiful facility close to transportation. The shower was on the warm side but it was comfortable too

It was good being there, walking around was nice and enjoyable.

Staff was friendly and helpful. This is a beautiful hotel I really like it. It is walking distance to a few must see attractions. Good restaurants in the area and street food is available. There’s a seven eleven which is across the street, so convenient. I will definitely come again. My room is nice and clean as well ;)

I realy like the property and stuff. And its very centralized it may not in most quiet area. Overall i will stay again

My experience is sort of a "Good News / Bad News" situation. My first stay was fantastic! My room was large and comfortable. It featured little french doors to a tiny balcony that overlooked an interior courtyard where songbirds in a large cage greeted me every morning. I loved it and looked forward to my next visit. My most recent visit I was assigned a small room not much larger than a prison cell. No balcony; no french doors. No songbirds. The windows wouldn't even open to get some fresh air circulating. Still, the staff is friendly and helpful. The housekeeping is first-rate. I like the location for shopping and sight-seeing. I may stay again in the future, but the tiny, sterile room of my most recent visit has left me with a bad memory.

I have stayed at this hotel countless times. It’s minutes to the center of the historic plaza on foot. Definitely in the heart of the city. It’s urban and surrounded by great cheap restaurants and shopping. If you’re looking for culture and hustle bustle this historical hotel is awesome. You’ll enjoy the architectural archway, the antique art. The rooms are not fancy, but they’re really fun.

The hotel is in a beautiful old building with several courtyards. It is quiet and the staff is excellent. I always enjoy staying here.

Excellent location to tourist areas. Safe at night. I bit noisy but very fun.

Las habitaciones son amplias, rusticas, los espacios son bonitos, la decoración, pero tuvimos un problema con chinches en una habitación, los encargados si nos cambiaron de habitacion pero pasamos una mala primera noche sin descansar

HOTEL RUINED MY VISIT TO GUADALAJARA. THE RESTAURANT IS CLOSED. Nothing available within the property for guests. A reviewer on google noted "BED BUGS", and a week later, I've got bites to prove something was biting me all over my legs. Also various insects including lots of gross drain flies. A trashy disco across the plaza blaring music way past midnight. A staff completely oblivious to guest comfort in general not limited to tons of laundry bags staged all over the hotel. If my room wasn't one of the worst in the hotel, that place is a real dump. Stayed here 20 years ago and it was adorable, this is a shame. Ruined my visit to GDL. I wish I took one look at my room and checked out. Try The Casino Plaza Hotel instead.

Decent room with basic amenities, close to attractions in Centro.

Loved this place and I'll be looking forward to staying again in the future. My room was wonderful: Spacious, clean, well-appointed. The staff was gracious and helpful. I especially enjoyed the parakeets caged in the common area: Waking to them chirping was like being in the country, instead of the center of one of the largest cities in Mexico.

Historic, beautiful and the staff tries their best to make you feel at home. We stay here or Don Quijote.
