I was very pleased to find a hotel for an overnight stay in Birmingham, given that most hotels were fully booked due to the Black Sabbath farewell concert in the city and other music celebrities performing this week. I was delighted that Holiday Inn star city have availability and not far from main railway station and my place of work"

The staff were really fab our taxi was booked for us and arrived on time. Our taxi home was easy to organise thanks to the hotel staff. Breakfast was lovely all fresh and area was cleared very quickly. Our room was nice, maybe just needs a double check for little things like cobwebs. But overall was very lovely.

Very handy for one night stay, from where we took Uber cab to Utilitia arena for a concert. Room could do with upgrade to mobile phone charging sockets. Excellent incuded breakfast.

A lovely hotel and the staff were great and helpful however I was not made aware of the gate code which caused me a lot of anxiety and made me cry. Everything else was perfect.

Very reasonable value for money good clean and spacious room and they welcomed my pet cats. Good hearty breakfast available, staff are very friendly and welcoming, and help with any inquiries. Would recommend this hotel.

First day 1 room given was out of service, Replacement room had another guest's baggage (not mine) Third room shower container empty. Day 2 Fire alarm went off during my sleep and continue on and off for 1/2 hour and not advised by staff what action to take.

The Hotel is tucked away in a convenient location and has ample parking spaces. The overall impression is that it is a little worn in places and would benefit from some TLC.

Fantastic hotel, room was spotless, bed was very comfy. All the staff were fantastic and Sian who checked us in was very friendly and helpful. Went for a concert at Villa Park and it was within walking distance. Would definitely stay again.

Great room, convenient location for Villa Park. Comfy bed and nice shower. Only issue was breakfast, very busy and little staff so lots of items unavailable. People were queuing for a table.

I was pleased to see how clean the room was in comparison to some I've seen before. Aaron at the front desk was very helpful and informative. Whenever I am in Birmingham this will be my second home.

Rooms, especially the bathrooms could do with an update. Breakfast was OK the second morning, the first morning most of the options were empty and were not refilled in the time we were there. Staff was indifferent when informed.
