Ideal hotel for a short stay. Very close to both train and bus station. The location is a bit run down, but it is only a short walk to the city centre.

Clean, comfortable, and had the listed amenities.

We were only here for they night, but so convenient as we arrived by bus and it was only around the corner plus we went to Gibraltar and again transport was just there. We then sailing to Morocco and the port is in close proximity- everything at our doorstep- room very spacious. Doesn’t have tea making facilities - but all good. Check in was a lot of paper work and signing - at times was in Spanish so we didn’t know what we were signing

Parking garage right under the hotel, friendly staff. However, this is right by the railway station and a big bus stop, so not the prettiest side of town.

Nice reception and good A/C as you walk in yet in the room they advertise Air conditioning yet it was non existent, there are old fashion vents that do not work. Our room was hot all night . Also we could not get any food or drink as the bar / restaurant was shut , we did arrive at 11 but only due to passport control at Tarifa . You would think in a hotel you can get a drink no matter what time. The breakfast was lovely. Really delicious.

A quite basic hotel (there wasn't even coffee in the room). That's OK, but the big problem was the slow, very flaky WiFi Internet. That's a deal breaker for me.

I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel in Algeciras. The location was excellent – very convenient and close to everything I needed. The room was spacious, clean, and well-organized, which made my stay even more comfortable. The breakfast buffet was great, with a wide variety of options to choose from. One of the highlights of my stay was the friendly and welcoming staff at the reception – they were always polite and helpful. I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again!

The property was very nice and the staff was nice and helpfull.

Clean and comfortable, especially the beds. Friendly staff, in house restaurant was good and lots of good eats not far away. Convenient to train, bus and ferries. Older property but well maintained.

The front reception staff were excellent the best service we have recieved on our holiday, the hotel is dated but comfortable. The breakfast not that good, food was cold, staff gave average service, but young man night before at Dinner was polite and willing to help, could do with better pillows and room was a bit noisy due to road outside

Excellent staff, very friendly and helpful, great room with a very nice balcony. Breakfast was fantastic, fresh fruit, plenty of cooked options, good coffee. Lots of areas to sit and relax, it is a lovely hotel. Very close to the train station. I can highly recommend Hotel Mir Octavio and I would stay again

The hotel seems to be very old . Cupboards are smelling and their doors are sqweeking and do not close properly. There isn’t a single English Tv channel. No water in the room.Food in the resturant is not great and missing items in the menue

Small city with not much options

The hotel is very good located, very clean, nice bathroom, for the ones that like soft beds, perfect. I do required a firm mattress (so -1 point). The service was very sparse, cold. (-1 point). non of the above matters that much. We had health emergency. The insurance ask our address, phone number and room number. A doctor from the insurance called us to the hotel. At the lobby they told THE DOCTOR they didn’t transfer call to the rooms. So thankful god the insurance found another way to comuninate back to us. We were directed to a clinic in town, we called the lobby an asked the to call a taxi, the same cold and spare attention: round the corner there are taxis. We had an urgency… almost an emergency…. they didn’t care or help in any way. A simple transfer of a medical call. Again, the hotel is well located it… but don’t spect quality service.

Property is good value and has excellent staff. Convenient to train and Port but not great part of town.

Comfortable bed and close to train and Port

Hotel is located very close to the ferry terminal. There is a restaurant in the hotel with a limited menu, but perfect choices. Breakfast was excellent! Great choice of food!

Wonderful and smiling staff. Very helpful front desk staff especially the lady who checked us in on the 29th and coincidentally checked us out on the 3rd.☺️Clean and roomy rooms. Stayed from 29th of Oct to 3rd of October. Unbeatable buffet breakfast with many options. Nice restaurant with many options. Will definitely come back.
