I paid for a Pearl Tower view, but there was no Pearl Tower view whatsoever. The actual view was different from the pictures, this feels like a scam. I didn’t expect this from Hyatt. Also no bidet and the window is so dirty

Disappointing Stay Despite High Expectations I recently stayed at the Hyatt on the Bund and, unfortunately, the experience fell short of expectations in several key areas. 1. Uninformed Swimming Pool Requirements Guests are required to wear a swimming cap to use the pool, but this was not communicated before arrival. This created unnecessary inconvenience. 2. Pearl Tower Room View Not as Advertised I booked the Pearl Tower View room expecting a clear view of the landmark. Instead, the tower was barely visible unless I pressed my face against the window at the far edge. For the premium price, the view was very disappointing. 3. Non-Functional Heater The room’s heating system did not work even at 32°C on maximum fan speed. The room remained cold throughout the stay, which eventually led to cold and flu symptoms—making the experience very uncomfortable. 4. Poor Location for Public Transport There are no MRT or train stations within a comfortable walking distance, which made commuting inconvenient. 5. Extremely Slow Internet Wi-Fi speed was terribly slow—often unusable, even for something as simple as a basic Google search.

I had a great experience here with a beautiful room with a beautiful view of The Bund.

I booked a room with a tower view and noted carefully to the hotel that the main view of the Tower is as illustrated on the app about the room type, the price is higher than the bund view. However, the hotel arranged a room with a view of the bund more and requested to change. After changing the room, the view was worse. And again, the hotel said that the nice view room only had 2 beds left even though the price was the same but they did not arrange it. The receptionist did not even arrange a belt to bring luggage to the room. And after changing the room between the 2 buildings, the belt was not allowed to help move the luggage even though I requested it. The hotel is for those who like quiet, moving by train is quite inconvenient but it is better than walking and going to the north of Shanghai pier, near mainner coffee

Room, service & location are perfect, the rooftop Vue Bar is probably the best bar to give you the perfect Bund view. However, there's a construction going on right in front of the hotel, which is very noisy & blocking the view from my room.

I had a great stay here. The hotel is in the middle of the city so its very convenient. However, the hotel is pretty old, the wood on the table had chipped, the carpet has stains and it needs to go under renovation.

Construction in front of the hotel, noises & view diminished an otherwise a wonderful view of the bund as well as the experience.

Nice views and very helpful staff especailly Mr. Clarences from guest service ! :)

Very good location and environment. It also provides free bedding for children. Staff are helpful.
