Great service from the staff

The first room they assigned to me had the aircon broken. Fortunately the recepionist was able to swap it with a much better one where the aircon was perfect. The rooms starting with 00 are much better and more refined than the others

Had a nice stay, staff were friendly. Very close to the station which is handy. Windows have secondary glazing so you couldn’t hear noise from the street.

Very reasonable priced for a Malmaison and right opposite the station which is just as well because there's no hotel parking provided and you can't even stop outside the hotel to drop people off. Be careful when crossing the road due to the endless convoy of buses coming round the one way system. The room had very effective air con which was just as well because it was the hottest of days. The room had a fridge in the wardrobe which was a life saver for drinks which you can buy from the Sainsburys Local directly opposite the hotel entrance. The room was clean and everything worked so very happy overall.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel. A great location, large air conditioned rooms, friendly staff and a cool vibe. Highly recommend!

Friendly staff, good size room with a massive comfy bed. We didn’t stay for breakfast so cannot comment on the food. If you’re using the train into Reading the location couldn’t have been better. Literally 2 mins walk from the station.

The room was well appointed and the bathroom was lovely and spacious. Both were clean and neat. The room had a few thoughtful extras like a bottle of water in the bar fridge, biscuits with the tea/coffee. The hand soap in the bathroom is simply indulgent and the bath/shower gel doesn’t dry your skin out. I had dinner at the downstairs bar and the Mal Burger did not disappointed. As always the staff were helpful and friendly.

Fantastic place to stay, very central, very well appointed, luxurious, quiet rooms with air conditioning. Fantastic breakfast, helpful friendly staff.

I stayed at Malmaison Reading for a business trip and had a great experience. The location is excellent, right across from Reading Station, which made travel very convenient. My room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, providing a great place to relax after a busy day of meetings. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout my stay, making the experience even better. Breakfast was another highlight, with a good variety of options and everything fresh and well prepared. It was a great way to start the day before heading out for work. Overall, a very pleasant stay. The combination of a convenient location, clean rooms, friendly service, and a quality breakfast makes this a hotel I would happily stay at again when visiting Reading.

Would definitely recommend! Though me & my partner had only stayed the one night, everything about our stay was excellent

The location was excellent, close to the railway station and the RailAir stop, which is why we chose this hotel. Our biggest complaint were the two single beds, they were uncomfortably hot with only a single very heavy duvet. As simple sheet and blanket would be much more comfortable.

Super close to the train station and bus stops- less than a block away. This made it easy to walk to, even with lots of luggage. Room was clean and spacious with USB ports for charging so I didn't have to use my adaptor plug in. Reading was a great place to stay on the night before my flight back home from Heathrow- a beautiful green space park near the hotel to relax in, super easy access off the train, and then easy access (again about 1/4 of a block) to the Railair bus stop for a trip that dropped me off directly at Heathrow. Felt very safe walking around and was nice to see the ruins of an abbey and a local museum- all for free!
