The room was gorgeous, especially the oceanfront view. I spent Valentine’s Day weekend here, and it was the perfect getaway. I would definitely visit again.

The hotel is in a beautiful spot on a hill overlooking the sea. The room was great. Clean and comfortable. The bed was very nice and I slept great. The staff was very courteous and helpful. We had a delicious dinner at the on site restaurant that had stunning views of the water. I would have given a 5 star rating but we were in a downstairs room and we could hear every step from whatever was going on above our room until after midnight. Also there isn’t much in the way of walkable restaurants. I would stay again but would make sure to book a room on the top floor.

The room was spotless, and had every I needed. The private balcony was amazing, overlooking the ocean. The staff was friendly and courteous, and went above and beyond to ensure that I had what I needed. They even found me some hot sauce for my hardboiled eggs at the breakfast buffet. I'm looking forward to my next stay at A Stones Throw Away!

A few things would go a long way. The space is great but improve these items, which ruin your vibe: 1. staff should wear white shirts and cacky pants or skirts- no black. this is a better look for an island hotel. cheap black does not work or look good. 2. replace the plastic, modern club feeling black dining chairs with wood like tables or woven chairs only. don’t have to spend a lot but get something that looks decent. this creates a better style. 3. get rid of the cheap ugly plastic 4-foot wall plant hanging on the patio today. tacky and cheap. just throw it away. And for god sakes, throw out the dead christmas poinsettias in the lobby 5. woven dinner placemats (get them local at the straw market) and WHITE tablecloths. throw out the black ones that on there now. find a better way to weight them from wind than tying them as they are now. 6. replace all your overhead lights with warm glow and dimmer lighting. this is a must. it’s way to bright at night- like a hospital not a warm carribean resort. get the owner to bring them from us in his suitcase. 7. tea lights or small candle on dinner tables at night to create a mood 8. guests should not walk into office to a crowd of people hanging out. no. one person behind the desk— how may i help you? 9. y’all are way too loud at night and keeping your guests up. stop it. this place could be so charming— but it just misses when for 1k you. could make it great! trust me. make the changes — i have traveled all over the world.

Stayed for one night en route to Miami. This is a beautiful place. More of a bed and breakfast vibe. Very quiet. Perfect for couples. Restaurant food was delicious too! Close to the airport and nearby buzzy towns.

The staff at the front counter was courteous and friendly however work for the hotel not the agency renting unit. Main issue comes with amenities such as getting code or storing baggage’s which is not their job. Just be aware this is the situation. We were not as thought we were renting from facility. The room itself was great and very clean and functional. Worked great for two people and the small kitchen as fine for providing what was needed on the stay. The balcony is small about 18” but you can stand on It and look around. Comfortable bed and nice TV and system feeding it. Nice small pool up stairs with a patio area with nice grills. Would go back again in the future. The room

We stayed in Room 7 and overall enjoyed our time at A Stone’s Throw Away. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and full of charm. The large private balcony with spiral stairs was a highlight, and we loved the Dutch-style carved bed. The staff—especially Shaniqua—were friendly and helpful. The Indian food in the restaurant was excellent, and the included healthy breakfast was great. The location is convenient: close to the airport, steps from a quiet beach, and near the bus system, so no car is needed. The ocean views, sunsets, AC, Wi-Fi, pool, and nearby restaurants were all big positives. The main downside is noise. Room 7 sits directly above the dining and bar area, where music plays from early morning until evening. Even with doors closed, we could hear music, conversations, and staff, and it made it hard to relax or hear the ocean. Weekend events downstairs were especially loud. The shower also had very low pressure and inconsistent temperature. There’s no indoor dining, no in-room coffee maker, and we occasionally heard a neighbor’s dog barking. Overall, this is a lovely boutique stay with great service and atmosphere, but travelers seeking quiet may prefer a room away from the dining area.
