Matachica Resort and Spa was absolutely amazing. Clearly a 5 Star resort. Situated 5 miles north of San Pedro kept us out of the crowds. The Seabreeze Room was exquisite. Delicious coffee was delivered each morning to our deck to enjoy the sunrise. Meals at the Bistro restaurant were excellent and seafront dining for all meals was a special treat. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. They expertly arranged several activities that we enjoyed including snorkeling at Mexico Rocks, Hol Chan and Shark Ray Alley. Simply amazing reef snorkeling. They also provided kayaks to paddle out to the reefs on your own for yet more quality snorkeling - nurse sharks and manta rays. Our stay was a bit on the spendy side but well worth the experience. Highly recommended,

Great Service and a place to just chill

We really enjoyed our time here. It was very relaxing and a beautiful resort. All of the staff was super nice and helpful. We would definitely go back and stay there again.

The staff were amazing. So kind and always willing to take the extra step for any sort of accommodation. The resort was also amazing in scheduling transportation. Everything is so clean and everyone was so friendly. The two excursions we booked were worth it. Charlie and Chris are wonderful!

The food was too poor, boring international. More local product, more fish. Better facilities like yoga class, gym

Loved our stay at Matachica! The staff was phenomenal! So friendly, and helpful. The food was all delicious, and the atmosphere is very chill for the relaxing style holiday!

The staff alone is worth staying here. Beautiful location and off the beaten path away from the chaos of busy San Pedro. Room was clean and comfortable.

Fantastic resort, beautiful lodging and scenery. Resort was luxurious. The staff and food were amazing. 5 stars. Highly recommend.

Excellent staff and property.

Heavenly! Everything about this stay was 5 star. Transportation to and from the resort was seamless. The staff was warm, welcoming, and always looking to make my stay comfortable. They called me by name from the time of arrival to departure. There was a welcome drink, fresh coffee or tea delivered to the room at my convenience. The room was perfect! I borrowed a yoga mat from the fitness area for morning yoga on the porch. There are kayaks and paddle boards for use for those looking to explore the water a bit. Tours can be arranged at the front desk. Thank you to all of the staff! I have dined at Mambo before but never stayed at the resort. I am looking for an excuse to come back and stay with you all again!

I have never encountered a resort that levied charges for standard amenities such as coffee and tea; typically, these are complimentary. My recent three-night stay, costing CAD 2200, included dining at a mid-range restaurant where a burger, fries, and a small portion of lobster ravioli cost CAD 118, despite my abstention from alcohol.i asked if they had repeat buiness and they dsaid they fid but i would never go back once was enough.

From the time we arrived at the airport this propert did not dissapoint! They picked us up, the property was STUNNING. Rooms were clean, stocked well, very cute. NEVER a bad meal from either restaurant, the food was so good i cant even express it. We could use the canoes/kayaks and snorkle complimentary. a cute happy dog was always with someone. Staff bends over backwards for you!! They rented us a golf cart, brought us drinks or snacks from town if they didnt have it, We had coffee delivery every morning, turn down service and water refresh every night. Pool is warm and beautiful. Use of all the cabanas in the pier and the view was amazing. The staff was friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable and really seemed to enjoy working there. Ambience was always quiet and romantic. Sad we ran out of the time to use spa, so we need more time when we return. I just cant say enough, honestly after seeing other properties on the island we chose the best one by far.

We had the most amazing stay at Matachica! Shout out to Job, Jennifer, Bolo Man, Sayuri and all the phenomenal staff! The food selection could be a bit broader. We will definitely be coming back!

Matachica resort and spa was absolutely incredible. From the moment we got off the airplane, Matachica staff was there to pick us up and take us to the resort. We highly recommend renting a Casita right on the beach. What an incredible view from our bed. It was absolutely amazing up there every morning. Also, great options for excursion adventures. We did a half-day tour Swimming with sharks and stingray. Our tour guide Chris Was incredible and recommend booking the tour with him. The food was also very delicious and we recommend this place to anybody interested in a nice anniversary getaway.
