Need more entertainment and food selections and the room was not the size they said it was smaller so I felt that false advertisement

From the moment of arrival to the sad day of departure, every detail at this resort was fantastic. The staff beyond reproach, the culinary delights never ending and grounds beautiful. We enjoyed both the bistro and the Mambo restaurant during our stay which has different menus and selections. Although it was sargassum season, the staff was removing it regularly as best they were able, but it did not stop using onsite equipment to enjoy the ocean and there is always the refreshing pool. I loved that each villa/casita had its own unique fruit or water related name. They even set up a tv to show the FIFA matches and NBA playoff games. The sales team helped me set up a wonderful hosted happy hour in our villa to celebrate a milestone birthday. Shout out to Angelita, Sher, William, Steven, Archie, Gustavo, Alex, Yennifer...I know I am missing others that made my staff memorable! I would highly recommend this location to anyone, couples or singles, wanting a quiet beautiful resort, with an all-around feeling of being pampered.

The sargassum is terrible. It is so bad that no one can enjoy the beach or any relaxation spot on the beach. The smell is very strong due to so much sargassum. The staff super nice and friendly.

This well maintained, beautifully landscaped, staffed with friendliness and attentiveness Resort is one of a kind. The uniquely named Casitas surrounded by greenery, bordering the aqua ocean is so calming and aesthetically inviting. It is a place with a very relaxing, calm, quiet vibe. The culinary delights through breakfast lunch and dinner were exceptional. Everything freshly made. This was a perfect Group vacation to celebrate a birthday and I highly recommend this place to anyone considering it.

Mata Chica is the best hotel with the best staff on the island hands down. We have been here twice and there is no other place in our minds that offer this type of experience

Wonderful adults only property! The villa was amazing, staff was so kind and helpful, food and drinks delicious. I would Highly recommended this hotel to any friends and family. They also drop off coffee or tea in the morning which is a nice touch and the continental breakfast was great.

The property is very well kept. The pool is lovely, the rooms are very nice and comfortable. The food is very good, some of the best food we’d had on the island. The staff absolutely make this property standout though. The check in was seamless, all staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. I would 100% recommend this property to anyone. We’ve stayed at 4 & 5 star resorts all over the world and this resort was up there with the best of them. The staff do an excellent job at making you feel welcomed and attending to any needs you have.

This is a spectacular property with amazing fresh food . It’s not easy to get to … a plane from Belize and a boat ride but it’s well worth the trek .

This is my third time staying at Mata Chica. It’s the best place on the island and one of the best resorts when it comes to hospitality, vibe and cleanliness. I will always return when I visit Belize.

The staff is amazing, rooms amazing, and the vibe is amazing. I would definitely return. Restaurant is very good as well, pretty much farm/ocean to table. Highly recommend Captains dinner for an authentic Belizian experience and the avacado toast at breakfast!

Perfection ! This resort and the staff was the best of any place we have ever stayed (and we travel a lot ) . We had a relaxing and vacation . We are already planning a return trip.
