The hotel was very nice.We stayed with two babies and felt safe and welcome .Even we arrrived at 2 am we were welcomed with a warn smile . Room was big and having 4 beds was a blessing . The breakfast and late checkout were also a blessing . We had the softest and fluffiest croassants one can imagine . In the morning I took my babies out for a stroll and I enjoyed the nice fresh air .We will definitely come back . At departure Sebastian made sure I had a coffee for the road . The stuff is wonderful and pays extreme attention to the needs of the guests.

To be fair, the hotel was clean and well maintained. Air con worked well which was good as it was very hot when we visited. Feel as though property was mis-sold to a degree as there is NO POOL available to use. This was one of the reasons for booking it in the first place. We were advised to use pool facilities in Avellino a few miles away. If there’s no access to a pool, why even mention it and/or put photos of one on the Expedia page? A bit misleading. Restaurant on site doesn’t open until 7.30pm so as we had kids, we had to travel to nearby Avellino in search of an earlier meal. Breakfast was available but not ‘to order’ as described on Expedia. It was limited to cake. Cereal available but bowls and milk not available. Slightly older member of staff (a gentleman) kept speaking to us in Italian and we made no secret of the fact we couldn’t speak a word. Yet he continued to talk AT US rather than TO US in Italian which became a bit bothersome as he would do it at every opportunity leaving us not knowing what he wanted or what he was saying. It ended up with us having to dash quickly to and from the lift past reception, avoiding eye contact on the way. Lastly, don’t expect a restful night as the local dogs sleep during the day and spent ALL NIGHT (not even joking) barking to one another and even intermittent group howling in an effort to see who has the loudest vocal chords.

Better than expected, courteous service, good facilities and decorations.

The room was described as having it's own spa which we paid extra for, when we got to the hotel it turned out that we only had a basic room and 'spa access' This turned out to be a jacuzzi and steam shower in another one of the rooms which was all very strange and considering we'd paid an additional 35 euros over the standard price we'd felt like we'd been ripped of somewhat.

Very nice stay.Hoteo is a little shabby and could do with an update.

RUN AWAY AS FAST AS YOU CAN!!!

Of all of the places visited in Italy, Hotel Royal Montevergine was by far the best experience, staff went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable.

The hotel met all of out requirements. The location was perfect for us, the room comfortable, easy parking, reliable internet and a very nice breakfast all for a very good rate.

I had a four day stay booked at his hotel and left after two nights. The walls are so thin in these rooms, I could hear every whisper in the room next to me. They were nice enough people at the front desk, but the hotel rooms are cold and loud. Another thing was a construction crew worked till about 10:30 at night with power tools hammering away.

Hotel staff were very helpful and friendly especially Sebastiano and Ludovico. Excellent value for money.

We chose this hotel based on price and reviews and were not disappointed. Great value for money, large, clean and comfortable room with small balcony, good breakfast. Just don't rely on GPS to find it, we ended up a dirt track - when we did get directions from the town, we didn't see the sign to the hotel and ended going up the road to the Sanctuary - the hotel is at the bottom of this road, before you go up the bends. It is on the corner of Via Lungara Ponticelli and Via Cerreto. Would highly recommend a stay here, very happy with our choice as a stopover on our way south. Some of the staff don't speak much English but that was not a problem. Visit to the Sanctuary was a bonus too.

Good place to stay. Breakfast fairly basic but excellent value evening meals. Would recommend this hotel.

We paid for this hotel several months in advance, only to be told when we arrived that they were "overbooked". They sent us to another local hotel which they said was "just as good". The other hotel was under renovation! Since this is not a review for the other hotel, I won't comment on it any further. For Royal Hotel Montevergine, I give a poor rating to them for not even letting me see the room I had paid for.

Beautiful, modern hotel in a fantastic location; polite and helpful personnel. Comfortable, spacious and clean rooms. Excellent throughout.

Staff was very eager to please but at times overbearing. Great location - walking distance from additional restaurants and quite at night time. Good value for the price. Rooms were clean and comfortable except for small shower stalls and rough towels.

A very friendly hotel that quickly responded to requests. Our 2nd floor room had a great view of the valley below, was well maintained and always clean. We felt that the restaurant, especially dinner was the star feature (try the pasta w/basil sauce)for this hotel. The wait staff was also outstanding. Breakfast was simple but adequate and served rather than buffet style. There is a small town within walking distance with limited services. You will need a car to get around. Parking and Wi-Fi are included in the price.

everyone was very nice and went out of their way to help. very nice to my son and very good english. Great location up a hill but views are a bit blocked. it was quiet when we stayed and they offered us many activities in the area. would stay again for sure
