Our Standard room was in Old Minguo building with no elevator! Room was quite small and bathroom was equally small! Apart from the location, which was near Xuanwu lake entrance, this old building room did not justify the price paid.

I stayed on the second floor in the old-style three-story building. It was unexpectedly quiet despite the hotel is in one of the high streets in NJ. The room was clean, well worth the price.

Lovely place. Although it looks not that splendid, the service, the location, the equipment is really good.

The hotel is clean and comfortable. The staff is very helpful. The location is a little far from the subway station (about 20 minutes) but there is a bus station right in front of the hotel.

It is a 3-star hotel not a 5-star since facility is not met the 5-star except the price for food.

No non-smoking rooms in the hotel. Good location, lots of interesting street food nearby. Staff Not helpful, bell boys gave up trying to flag us a taxi, and reception staff seemed irritated at the sight of us. Rooms have best air con in China.

This was a great stay at a great price. The staff was very helpful and friendly, and the rooms were comfortable and clean. I would definitely stay here again for the price. It also was a convenient location for getting around the city.

This hotel has super fast internet, faster than the Ritz Carlton at Pudong Shanghai and Intercon at Nanjing. The new building is at least of Marriott standard. High quality interior decoration. The rate is well priced and view of the entire city is fantastic.

I stayed at Yishiyuan for one night (new years eve) and the service at check-in was VERY good. The room was big and very clean. It's situated on North Zhongshan Rd which is very central to many of the sights in the city. I only visited Purple Mountain since I was only there for one night but the subway is about a 10-15min walk so it's not too bad. The hotel will also call a taxi to pick you up at the door which is nice. Overall I was quite impressed :)

If you want all the western stuff including the high price, don't go here. If you want really good quality for a really good price, this place works well. I didn't get the cheapest room here so I had a fridge, desk, big bed, view and a huge room. I bought breakfast at the local store the night before and put it in the fridge so I didn't enjoy the food here. Which I think is just as well. I've stayed here a few times when in Nanjing so I guess that says something. I've stayed at many hotels in Nanjing and lived in Nanjing for a few years. If money is no object and western comforts are, don't stay here. Otherwise it's worth a try.

AC not working in my super ultra deluxe suite... No wifi available. I mean, come on. The room was very spacious though, with a really nice king size bed. If you are not interested in luxuries such as AC or wifi, this could be your place. The location is not as good as it seems at first glance, since there is a 10-15 min walk to the subway.
