Great place to stay and swim at a nice beach. Property needs lots of maintenance. Service is okay.

Awesome place to stay, property is older but they keep it very clean, staff is super friendly. Thumbs up to Carlos at Lobby, bar/restaurant staff Gibram, Orlando, Guillermo, Jorge Luis and aka "Chino". Loreto Bay is affordable and a great place to stay.

The absolute worst resort I have ever been to so far. The resort is in disarray. The landscaping is horrendous, the staff is lazy . The Service was exceptionally slow. Their only bright spot is their food. That was really good once you got it. It is obvious, they are in financial trouble. Short staffed in the maintenance area. Myself and a friend had to net the pool throughout the day. The flowers from the unkept trees and wasps were quite bothersome. Let’s put it this way… if they offered me a free week because of this survey, I wouldn’t take it!

This is such a beautiful property if it was only maintained… it was probably gorgeous in the 70s but the pools are dirty the rooms most likely haven’t been updated since the 70s… lots of bugs, mold, leaks. The price point reflects that it’s a 2 star place. If all you need is a place to crash it works & the beach is beautiful. The golf course is not affiliated with the hotel at all & is also super neglected. It’s sad to see such potential wasted

Staff is fantastic, whole complex is very clean and nice. Facilities are a little bit dated, but would and will return. Nothing was off putting for me, just not new anymore. Plenty of everything that you need.

Room was unclean. I step on sharp staples and hurt my foot. A hard plastic with sharp staples was loose from the bottom of bed and I was walking bare feet and stepped on the staples and cut my foot. I was bleeding a little. I applied my own self care. Also, I requested the patio to be cleaned and dusted but it was not done. Staff was unmotivated

This place is falling apart. It has a beautiful view and a nice beach but the place looks old and dirty . Stayed here one night and couldn’t sleep because the couple next to us was fighting in the middle of the night. It was uwful.

Hotel can use an update. Pool area needs some concrete patch work, service was extremely slow, personnel needs customer service training. From reception to servers and bartenders. Food was good when they got your order right. Breakfast included is not worth the money, very limited on the options included. Best to order à la carte.

It is an old property but the area is amazing and well worth the money. Free kayaks. Mind that it is 20mins taxi from downtown and there is no Uber. I highly recommend it anyway. I will definitively be going back.

Pool concrete and areas did not appear to be up-kept. Gym was in disrepair and unusable, staff said its being remodeled but no work was in process or being done. Disallowed to plug in a rented golfcart. Bicycle rental not available, staff said they were all in maintenance being repaired. Drink service on the beach only available on 1 day. Inadequate quantity of loungers for guests. Food and drink quality not up to par for the price. We asked about paying to upgrade our room with a larger bed and were told the rooms with larger beds do not have a 2nd bed - Yet when we left we saw a 2nd portable bed being removed from another room??? On-site store was permanently closed with a chain on the door and closest store is a 10 minute walk. Beach towels not readily available. Hot water not always available for showering. Staff was nice and did the best they could with their hands tied. Maid service and room quality was great. Pictures of the resort are inaccurate and at least 20 years old. All in all it is a less than mediocre place with very little to do and badly needs a facelift.

First time in Loreto. Got a super package through Expedia. Great location! Great beach! Decent food in both breakfast restaurant and bar restaurant. Within walking distance to several other restaurants and bistros. Don’t miss the rooftop bar of the Aventuras Hotel. Beautiful landscaping everywhere! Direct flight from Calgary on WestJet. 15 minute cab ride from airport to resort. Wonderful local markets on Friday and Saturday nights. We will absolutely go back!
