The hall is magical. The stay was great and the room and food were excellent with one small exception. This is that the fabric covers on the chairs in the dining room were grubby. Also the decor in the dining room could do with a refresh. I mean paint, flowers lights etc.

Our second visit and it again was spacious, clean and flexible accommodation and the whole property is very well maintained. Having the Lemon Tree restaurant on site is also great; we had a special celebration there - food and choice was great. Only thing I didn’t think about was I booked a 1 bed apartment for my 91 year old mother in law and hadn’t realised there were apartments that had the bedroom upstairs (I hadn’t made any special requests). There was a great en suite upstairs which motivated and she was fine just something to note for the next time we go. Also, the bar has a little shop for essentials and just enough for us to get things for breakfast in the last day of our stay without having to bring too much with us.

The apartment was spacious and overall clean. Excellent sleeping mattress - we are buying one for us for home. Only the balcony was messy. Hotel on beautiful grounds and staff in the restaurant and spa were very friendly and helpful. Location is great, very close to Lancaster city, easy access by Uber. Definitely would come back.

It’s a hugely impressive place to stay, with a grand sweeping drive and your large country estate for the weekend. Most of the accommodation is not in the main aesthetically pleasing historic hall but in some sympathetically attractive flats and studio apartments on the estate. The pool is decent the sauna for some reason was far too cool at 60 degrees i hope this was a one-off! The gym is tiny but with a good range of dumbbells and a cable machine I was able to do a good strength session. They don’t do breakfast but the nearby pub the stork is great value! Overall would definitely go again. The prices are competitive!

Great choice of venue and just right for what we needed. Would definitely recommend. The only thing that let it down was communication to us about the leisure centre and swimming times. That said, we would definitely go back.

Great place to stay. Nice building in a great location. The apartment was really spacious and very clean, and the staff were all friendly and welcoming. I’d happily stay here again.

Facilities and location are fantastic, a real gem of a place. The studio apartment we stayed in was huge, so much room and had everything we could ever need. Leisure centre and on site restaurant were great too. Only negatives were being sent too much information before check in, it felt a little overwhelming for someone who'd never been. A lot of this could've been explained upon arrival instead. Overall would absolutely recommend, and we'll be looking to book again.

Beautiful main building & was surprised when I was told that I wasn't sleeping in the main building, but was put in timeshare property around the back. But tbf they, like most timeshare property were stunning very large, self catering apartments.

A beautiful property in a secluded location, with grounds for a short walk round to pass maybe 20 minutes. Clean and well sized one bedroom apartment. Didn't manage to use the pool but didn't seem busy when passing and this was in May. Would have been more than perfect if it wasn't for the poor WiFi and the dog mess near the pond. So be careful if you're walking in the grass.

Property is clean enough but quite dated. Service was ok, but only ok and opportunities to offer better services were missed often. Breakfast ‘tray’ was a Tesco bag dumped on our table (not in the fridge)with basic white sliced supermarket bread, butter, jam and OJ with a four pint of milk, which is as described but not exciting and as it wasn’t put in the fridge not great with the heat. It was delivered after 9am so too late to be of any actual is for us sadly. This needs 24 hr notice to get so if you don’t prebook it before you arrive it isn’t possible. The grounds are lovely as are the views, and it is nice and quiet. The pool can only be used in times they are not blocked for members only, There was nothing to be very upset about in this place, but very little to be excited about either. There is great opportunity for the owners here to make it amazing due to the superb location.

A terrific hotel. We had a 6 person apartment which was spacious and clean with everything we needed. Play area great for kids and we loved the pool, sauna and jacuzzi. Very pretty location too. Highly recommend.
