Paris tends to cost a lot, wherever you go. With Hotel Transcontinental, you get a pretty good package deal. The shower ended up being slightly bigger than I expected. The complimentary breakfast was rather enjoyable, albeit kind of simple (so grab that yogurt). The customer service is top notch. The area is located near a great pizza place and a nice grocery store. If you stay here, you won't regret it.

The Transcontinental is a quaint hotel and is in a relatively quiet area which suited us perfectly. The breakfasts are excellent. The only real downside is the size (tiny) and age (old) of the lift.

Very helpful staff. Hotel was very clean and easy access to transport links. Lovely quiet room meant a good nights sleep ahead of a full days sightseeing.

Great location, nice rooms. Only thing missing was a kettle to make tea. Breakfast was good but nothing fancy. Excellent value for the price.

Stay was brilliant, very clean and quiet hotel, swift check-in and check-out. Very well located a few minutes away from the Metro with a bus stop literally outside the hotel and restaurants close by. Breakfast was ok, could have been a bit better though with freshly cooked items.

Clean, friendly and basic — quite near Mouton Duvernet metro: 30 minutes to Gare du Nord. Breakfast limited but fine.

This hotel is in a completely pleasant, safe, walkable, primarily residential neighborhood. There are lots of dining, bar, & food resources - like neighborhood bistros open late and Sunday/Monday. My room faced the main street that was busy during the day but very quiet at night for excellent sleeping! Short, flat walks to 2 Metro stops. The staff is consistently friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, I speak only English. Their English is excellent.

A great hotel in the heart of Paris. You are about a 10 minute walk from most major Metro lines, and the rooms are tiny, but well appointed, with comfy beds and excellent WiFi. The breakfast was quite delightful as well. Highly recommended.

Great little hotel in an excellent location. Close to the train station and a pedestrian mall with shops and restaurants. Will definitely stay there again.

Air conditioning and wifi are excellent. Comfortable room. Courteous staff. Amazing value. Just don’t plan to walk from the train station with luggage - glad we took a taxi!

Great value, good location. Staff pleasant but be prepared to speak French; my school-girl French was fine. I’d stay there again and would recommend.

Not far from Montparnasse station and Gaité Metro - this budget hotel offers good value, and larger rooms than some more central hotels.

This hotel was the final stay for us on our European trip, and wasn't the worst place we stayed. Rooms when you first walk in have a musty smell, but could be due to how old the hotel rooms were (some stains on the carpet, and blankets have seen better days, otherwise okay). Was nice to have the balcony door open at night for a nice breeze. Hotel is located in a good location 10 minutes from the Catacombes and 10 minutes from a main train station which can connect you anywhere - we used it to go to Disneyland. Breakfast wasn't great, it was a couple of bread rolls, a croissant, and some jams, yoghurts and cold meats left out on a bench, we only had it one of the mornings we stayed there and ate elsewhere the others. Be warned, rooms are very small, so much so that the foot of the bed hits the opposite wall so my partner had to climb over the bed whenever he needed to go to the bathroom. There is a convenience store/market next door which is handy for snacks that don't require a fridge - this place doesn't have one. The pizza shop 2 doors down was good on nights we couldn't be bothered going out, so if you are tired, there is that close by.
