We loved our stay at Vell Marí and would definitely go back again. It’s an easy drive from the airport. We didn’t bother paying extra for dedicated parking and we never had trouble getting parked on the streets outside the hotel. It’s right opposite Lidl which is handy if you don’t want to take toiletries in your suitcase. The staff were lovely and the food was good and varied every day although there were also consistent options like pizza and pasta so always something for my picky eater 7 year old. The hotel was clean and quiet. Rooms are soundproof so although we could just about hear the entertainment in the evenings it wasn’t loud enough that it kept my son awake and it also didn’t go on too late. Only negatives are that I would have liked a kettle in our room as I like a coffee when I wake up. We had a microwave so I would microwave water for coffee but a kettle would have been nice. Also the air con didn’t get super cold. It was noticeable during the day but at night it felt like it wasn’t really doing much so even though we had it on the coldest setting that still felt like maybe 22-23oC which is warmer than we are used to sleeping in at night. But really those negatives are so minor, it really is a super little hotel and I have recommended it to anyone who asked me about our holiday. Thank you Vell Marí :)

Nous sommes déçus car nous avons passé 48h sans climatisation avec une chaleur ecrasante malgre qu on soit alles 2 fois a la reception le dire. Nous avons payé une prestation tout inclus et nous avons vu des personnes en pensions complete voir meme en demi pension manger comme du tout inclus. A quoi bon payer plus cher. Dommage car l'hotel est tres beau , bien entretenu.

Vell Mari is a resort comprising of multiple blocks of apartments, each placed around the outdoor swimming pool, which is decent in size and surrounded by sun beds. There is a separate swimming pool outside for children with a water slide and an indoor swimming pool with jacuzzi. It is unusually located opposite a Lidl and in a primarily residential space. It is possible to walk to the beach but you are better off getting the bus or mini train, particularly in hot weather. This is a touristy hotspot, so if you want a Mallorcan experience, avoid Can Picafort. The rooms were spacious. There was plenty of plants and some character to the resort, Other guests are very competitive in reserving sun beds, with most taken before the pool is even open. The kids swimming pool (outside) is not staffed. For several hours there was human faeces placed on the side of the kids swimming pool, which put us off going there. The events staff performed a minidisco every night and performed the same routine. A couple of them did not seem to enjoy their jobs. The restaurant has a decent selection of food and drink, however the juices are extremely sugary and there are flies on the foods and throughout the restaurant. We had to put a €10 deposit for a kettle and a €10 deposit for an iron (no ironing boards available). I could go on and on. This is advertised as four stars, which you pay for, but it feels like 2/3 stars.

Hotel was a bit worn down and restaurants very crowded. Food was ok and staff friendly, but it was not a 4 star hotel without some renovations. Pool areas was nice.

We had a great time

This hotel is value for money. Although the rooms are old, they are spacious and comfortable. We can recommend the pool view rooms, as they are near all facilities. This hotel has fantastic pool rules, so nobody must wake up early to get a sunbed as the area is closed until 9.30 am. The all-inclusive restaurant served great food with plenty of choices, and we enjoyed dining outside on the terrace. Fitness room was a disappointment. The beach was 15 min walk from the hotel.

Amazing holidays and staff mainly the animation team specially Mariana, staff at the bar always smiling, staff at the restaurant always polite and happy. The downside is the room card never worked I had to visit reception on daily basis.

This is a lovely spacious complex, nice grounds, nice big pool. Food pretty standard but nicefresh fish and meat and nice eggs and omeletes for breakfast. Rooms are much better than the reviews say, and staff v friendly. The only reason we probably wouldnt go back is the way all the sunbeds are reserved at 9am and if you dont join them in reserving some you wont have a sunbed all day. It was very annoying!

We went for a family trip in can picafort for 7 nights. Generally everything was great but there is a roam for improvement. Kids loved it so much as there were many kids and many activities. Pool was great. We took a half board which is breakfast and dinner. Food was varied and nice. Lunch we ate from the pool bar which was decent. There is a shop neat the pool but you can go to Lidle which is 3 mins walk. We also loved the mini disco and the evening shows. We booked a pool view room but the room was the last so had little view to the pool. And you need to put your towel on the sunbeds around 8am as it will fill out fast.Also the beds are not great but not bad either. Staff were all very helpful and very kind. Definitely the whole family want to go back again.

Vell Mari Hotel very good hotel for families with children. Food very tasty and different. Only what we don’t like , sea is far from hotel, but buses runs very often and by bus we could get any place on the island.

This hotel is not 4* hotel, more like 3* hotel. Swiming pool 100%, my doughters loved it! Very little choices off food!

This hotel was amazing and we will definitely come back! The food was great which I find is quite rare for all inclusive. The pool is amazing and there was always sun beds so could get to the pool whenever. The only thing was the snack bar was closed for a couple days (might be due to the weather but not sure). The room was great, it was very quiet which was nice so slept really well. The bed has a memory foam topper on so it was really comfortable. It took 15 mins to walk into the town but could get the bus needed which was a 2 min walk away. It was a great trip and would recommend it for couples or families!

Great resort. Good size but doesn’t feel as big as it is. All staff were very friendly and helpful. Property showing its age in style but very clean and well kept. Hope to return soon. Pool is great for both kids and adults.

The property on picture seems great but in reality is in need of a lot of modernisation. Close by the sea and really nice, Swimming pools are great (especially the one for little ones) but they are not clean at all. In the main swimming pool people enter without a shower and hairs in the pool as the filter doesn't actually work well. Food is great the first night but from day 2 are pretty much the same repeated things

This is a great family resort, with wonderful kid's pools, a playground and nightly entertainment. The staff is really friendly and helpful, always taking care of the customer. The rooms are nice, with a kitchenette. There are also activities during the day, which are fun. There is a Lidl supermarket right across the street, which is very convenient, but for anything else - restaurants, shops - you have to walk at least 5-10 min. The beach is about a 10-15 min walk, but very nice to spend the day. We had half board, where drinks were not included. The choice of food is great, changing every night, but the quality is nothing special. Overall this is a wonderful place to stay in Mallorca!

The hotel itself it good, it has nice grounds and the pool is really nice. The bedroom was a lot smaller than expected and along with the bathroom was very basic. It came with an overly large balcony, and I don't see why the balcony was so big and the room so small! It is very quiet at night at both the hotel and surrounding area and I would 100% recommend you hire a car if you want to stay at this hotel otherwise you will be very limited to what you can do as there is nothing in the surrounding area. Parking was a bit of a problem as well as it had an extremely small car park so most people had to park on the adjacent road. The breakfast was ok, it consisted of eggs, sausages bacon, pancakes, churros, and the usual cereals, fruits and pastries. We ate dinner there once and it consisted of a buffet for around €16, again this was okay but we didn't want to do this more than once as the quality wasn't amazing. Overall, I would probably not stay at this hotel again, not because I was displeased with the room or pool (the pool was very nice), but because the location was so out the way, and if we didn't have a car we'd have been truly stuck! However if you're a family on an organised excursion you may think differently. I would recommend Port d' Palenca as this was a very nice area we visited and a lot more busy and centrally located!
